I tow a Keystone 243BHS with my rubicon with 37” tires and 4.88 gearing without issue. It’s not a speed demon but I tow nice and slow and it works great. The 243 has a full front bedroom, double bunks and a slide and is 5200lb dry with a 580lb hitch weight. I am sure when we load up our stuff we...
Like new (used twice) sun bonnet for Gladiator. I bought this to tide me over to not buy a soft top last summer but I ended up finding a good deal on a soft top. I no longer need it. It is the soft top material so will keep most water out of the cab allowing you to run with the hard top off...
Stock wheels on mine with 37x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and a 3.5” Clayton lift. No issues here. Been on 12.5 wide tires for about 30k miles and similar setup on my prior JK without issue. I wheel it hard and drive a lot.
Typically the issue that causes death wobble is improper torque on the track bar. But keep in mind many installers and dealers do crap work so the same issue can happen. But understood and self install is not for everyone. But is a great way to know you’re Jeep better and be able to troubleshoot...
It’s free, find a friend with some skills or someone on the forum near you and do in in your driveway or garage. You will learn a lot about your Jeep and realize how easy it is to install a lift.
Yes, I would agree except I would skip the 4.56 and do 4.88. Some prefer 5.13 and others seem to prefer 4.88 but doesn't seem worth it to do just 4.56. The only other impact you will see is a small impact on the wind resistance due to the lift. Your lift will reduce the factory rake and...
If you are running the 4.10 gearing still you will be reducing your towing capacity by both the added weight and the gearing. Get the gearing back to factory at minimum. Running 4.88 or 5.13 gearing depending on use of the Jeep will get you better than stock. Then the only real impact is the...
I will likely do it sometime soon but I am running an EVO 2.5” with 3/4” spacers on top and have wheeled it quite a bit without issue. I fully expect an issue at some point but wasn’t planning to replace it until the stock one is toast. Worst case I will run with it off when it goes while...
Rubicon with high fenders? Do you wheel it? I would think you will rub quite a bit on the 37s if you are flexing it out at all. So 38s would be worse. I would not do 37s without a 2.5” lift on a rubicon and 3.5” on a non rubicon. But if you never leave the paved road it will likely be fine...
Seems like a bad idea. I would imagine there is a reason it was rated at only 2500lb. Not worth destroying wither vehicle or creating a hazard that could injure someone.
It really depends on who is getting in and out. I am fine but my kids and wife don’t like getting in with it being so tall. I added Ace rock sliders that double as steps and it fixed the issue.
I am sure these comments including mine aren’t bashing the 4xe. It’s just not for everyone. I will be happy to check it out once it’s available. And BTW I do understand and have read all about it and am sure it will smoke my gasser.
I would think no matter the decision you make it will be what you want and not a financial decision. There is no way that selling a less than 1 year old Jeep and buying a new one (that is likely more expensive) will result in saving money or being a good financial decision. But sometimes getting...
I’m not sure I understand how selling it would get you out of the extras you bought. You already bought them so if you rolled them into your payment they are now part of what you owe on the Jeep. Selling it will just result in you likely being upside down on what you get verses what you owe. You...
