Hi,
I’m putting my build here for others to use as reference and so that we can all benefit from my experience with the parts I’ve chosen. My Gladiator will be here next month but I’ve been preparing for it by getting a lot of the parts for my build together. I’ll bore you with details later...
Hey gents,
I decided the extra garage space was worth buying four tmps sensors from the dealer and had my tires mounted today. My build sheet finally populated so I’m thinking my truck will be here in under a month now. Some asked for pics once the tires were mounted so I’m adding them. Looks...
Thank you for this, I totally agree. Telling people that they have to buy something because it’s better than what they want doesn’t make a lot of sense.
You say you want a steak for dinner? Well turkey is better for you, it’s higher in protein and lower in fat. It’s more sustainable. Eat your...
Agree with you all saying that the Gladiator wins over the new Bronco. No matter what Ford does, they put IFS on their “competition.” Total deal breaker as far as I’m concerned. My Ford fanboy friends always come back with “you could do a solid axle swap” as if this is something anyone would...
The shutting off thing happened to me in a 3.6 pentastar powered Dodge Ram classic government vehicle a couple weeks ago. Going slow up a pass in traffic on the interstate and it started running rough so I pulled over and turned it off. I was thinking maybe the elevation change did it and the...
Thank you, I’m stoked! Waiting for my Gladiator to be delivered still. Last I heard the projected ship date was 20 November. I’m building the leaning tower of awesome in my garage while I wait...
Hi all,
For your situational awareness you can buy the factory spare wheels from several dealers online. Shop around, I found the best balance of price and shipping from a dealer in Texas at myoemmoparparts. Paid $400 shipped for four wheels. The part number is 4755290AA.
I couldn’t find any...
Sorry for the late response!
It was an online price. I wish there would have been a local option in Western Colorado, not enough demand I guess.
Just checked the price and yeah, they raised it to $205. I wonder how long it was at $159.
Thanks for all the info, gents!
As of right now Walmart has the 35x10.50r17 D range for $159. Not a big fan of Walmart but at that price I got five from them.
Garage is filling up while I wait for the Jeep to get here... Eyeballing the Hutchinson Rock Monsters pretty hard since tires cost half...
I’ll go for the re-gear for sure then. I’m in Western Colorado and am frequently on long, steep mountain passes. I’m planning on toning down my off-road style to better suit family life but may still go a little hard sometimes. Thanks for your input!! I’m very impressed with this forum.
Are you running the auto or manual transmission? I ordered a manual and am planning on increasing tire size which is why I’m prepping to re-gear and I was planning on 4.88s. From what I’ve read a re-gear is a good idea even without changing tire diameter with the manual trans. My truck won’t be...
Thank you for this. I found info on the Dana Spicer site that said the carrier break for the m210/m220 is at 3.07 down and you’ve confirmed for me.
It’s really valuable when people report personal experience. Especially when speculation and misinformation are so plentiful on the internet.
