The leak looks like they put the y pipe back in slightly angled and it's leaking out the back part of the Y pipe where it meets the back half of the exhaust. I adjusted it a little bit, because I'd be too annoyed to drive it the way it is. I wiped down the fluid, hopefully that was left over...
I had my transmission replaced, it was finished today. They pretty much threw my exhaust back in, so it is leaking at the clamp behind the Y pipe. I was able to adjust it a little bit to quiet it down, but it's pretty rusty. Just curious if I order a new clamp is there a gasket or anything...
Welp got it back today. It has a very loud exhaust leak and its wet around the transmission cooler lines. I mentioned the noise they said why don't you drive it for the weekend and see how it is. Hopefully the fluid is just from connecting it, but im not too confident that's all it is.
Yeah I get that. I really liked my bronco, but the situation was really frustrating and I was just done after all the issues I had. The problem I always run into is I always miss having a car the doors come off, but I guess that makes them unreliable haha. So far this gladiator has been good...
That makes no sense. I dropped mine off 2 and half weeks ago. It was there a few days before it's appointment and it's since been troubleshot and the new transmission installed. I'm getting it tomorrow.
Yes im still on factory tires. The tazer will help it shift at the right time for the bigger tires, but if the transmission is going the tazer wont help. If anything itll hide the problem until it gets worse.
It started with reverse delaying, then it also had problems shifting up to 4th. Its mostly just when you first start driving, but one day it started bucking and then wouldn't shift out of 3rd gear till i turn the truck off. Thats when i brought it to the dealer. It was pretty consistent after it...
Mine started in the cold and only the first few minutes, but it kept getting worse. Im at 75k. It started around 70k, but i drive a lot, so 70k was like a month and a half ago.
There a definitely a few people on here its happen too, but i dont think its super common. Search for loose stearing and see how much people post when something is a common issue.
Mine is also the 8speed. Thats interesting mine always whined really loud on the highway, but i was told there was no noise and everything was normal. Then like 40k later reverse was really delayed and shifting from 3 to 4 was an issue. Now it randomly starts bucking and gets stuck in 3rd till i...
Im out of the factory warranty i have 75k miles. I put 55k on the jeep in the last year. Luckly i dropped it off yesterday and its a CPO so it has that warranty till 100k.
What issues have you been having with your transmissions? And when was your latest one installed? I dont mind calling around im hoping thursday they will just diagnose it as bad. The transmission guy was there when I dropped it off and he said it sounds like it needs to be replaced.
So ive posted before about my transmission issues. Its at the dealer now they should be looking at it thursday. I got lucky and i have a CPO warranty still on my jeep. Anyone recently get a transmission replaced? Just curious how long of a wait it is for the parts. Its finally getting warm where...
Make sure the white part slides down over the pins before plugging back in. My JL never had a problem, but both JT ive had that part stays. It causes the pins to bend.
