  1. On board / modular water system

Well I agree that us "overlanders" do like pretty things, but I wouldn't discredit the function of these. The AT Overland mount is all aluminum with rubber cushions for the tank, has various mounting hole configurations and has extremely convenient stainless steel quick release straps...
  2. On board / modular water system

Here's some starting points for the clamps... I don't remember the correct diameter.
  3. On board / modular water system

When I did my own years ago I thought I recall that the "strap" or "band" holding the bottle was at least $26 from McMaster-Carr. These mounts I showed you though are all aluminum as well which adds to the cost. You could easily make your own out of steel with just a couple bends... (2) bends...
  4. On board / modular water system

Yeah, nothing is cheap these days :( Couple more options if you want black color to match the Alu-Cab
  5. On board / modular water system

    I have these...
  6. Camper buildouts - lets see them!

A lot of builds use Goose Gear systems as a starting point. As others mention, the ACC is pictured in most builds because it's popular but you can apply these to almost anything. Check out the websites of other canopy systems mentioned in my screenshot... AT Overland has some sweet build outs...
  7. Rubicon Lockers Sensor Gone Bad. Repair or Replace

Yeah, that's not many miles for sure. Well, one way to rule out a faulty sensor might still be to drain and fill with new fluid anyway. For about 15min of you time and around $40 you could do it on a driveway.
  8. Rubicon Lockers Sensor Gone Bad. Repair or Replace

Out of curiosity, how many miles do you have on your JT? I had the same thing happen to mine around 10k miles and I performed a diff fluid swap and it's been perfect since. I think there were enough particles in the fluid from break in that caused this. Maybe try this first rather waiting until...
  9. Power in your camper

Get a battery box (simple or elaborate) for the 100ah battery in the bed and wire it to a Redarc BCDC 1225D charger and you'll be able to build from there. Or you can go all out with this bad boy...
  10. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

I haven't found the visibility thru the rear window bad for street driving. I have a Tazer so I can always double tap the MUTE button on the radio to turn the rear camera on if I really need a full view of what's behind me. Cool mirror you linked though!
  11. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

Thanks, it's the 750mm cupboard. I believe all Explorer accessories also fit the Contour. At least I know the folding camp table/brackets and cupboards fit so far.
  12. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

I was able to finish the hot water shower setup just in time for winter :)
  13. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

In the grand scheme of things, yes, metal clamshell RTT's are the most expensive. In terms of the competition (don't get me started on a comparo thread again :) ) the AluCab 3R is slightly more expensive than the competition but packs the most features and benefits.
  14. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

The tent is also Alu-Cab and it's the new matching 3R version. Best clamshell RTT on the market IMO.
  15. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

Cinnamon Roll smells in the Contour for the win!!!
  16. Moab Chicken Corners / Hurrah Pass

My wife and I MTB in Moab all the time but she's not really into wheeling. This has always been on my list as an easy trail with amazing views. Dispersed camping is allowed on Chicken Corners correct?
  17. Motobilt Bobbed Bed

I absolutely love it. I'm waiting for the MB full size replacement to drop soon. I haven't Googled it, but do you know how much the OEM bed weighs? According to MB, the bobbed bed total weight with all hardware and fenders is about 525lb.
  18. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy Roll Call - not Camper

Sorry I don't have any experience with the Explorer but I think the Contour now has double seals on the windows? From an accessory standpoint I believe they both fit the all the same tables/cupboards/ammo rack/etc. The Contour will be the latest styling to match the 3R RTT and IMO is looks more...
