Some great looking wheels folks! Swapped to 704s from Icon Rebound (non-pro) a bit over a year ago. They have taken a beating already and held up well. The finish kinda looks a bit faded but no other gripes. Great looking wheels and the bead grip is no joke I can run at 12 psi with zero worries...
Sorry for your troubles. A bit of sludge in the oil filter makes sense it filters the oil. Should be more aggressive the oil they dumped is what matters not the oil filter. I buy my stuff through Amazon for this exact purpose. Receipts are easy to pull up if needed.
Morning Dr can you explain what the negatives could be of doing the flip? I'm well over 5" of lift from stock (sport s) and I am looking to install upgraded tie rod and drag link. From the pic you provided I can tell how much less angle your drag link has compared to my own.
Another question do...
Sounds like every install I have done lately. First a dv8 tire carrier where I needed to “oblong out” some holes to borrow a phrase. Then a rack I am working on required tapping to get a bolt in.
Dang that timing. Literally looking at this the past week was watching videos earlier today. The ovs is nice but at like 2x the weight. Thank you for throwing this up.
Feel like it is a bad idea in general. Would rather have more tie downs and piece together various storage like ROAM and Pelican type storage. Slide outs are cheap if it really comes to needing that sort of thing. Being able to remoce storage when camped is a plus. New it is a lot of money like...
New cabin air filter and engine air filters. Had right around 7k miles on them. They sure get dirty quick here lots of dust in the air from all the ag. When doing the engine filter too my surprise found a good bit of sand had made it into the airbox. That stuff gets everywhere.
Depends. It is more about the shock length. Did the Teraflex st4 with their falcon shocks all that was required was some spacers on the carrier bearing. Have put it to the test no issues.
It sounds pretty silly but it does allow running an aggressive tune that would not do well in cold weather bit allow for twisting it to work well when things get colder. Colder also is softer... although for many may argue not soft enough. Its more or less like you can re-valve it to one of two...
Its for sure not in your head. They are firm, probably the most firm off the shelf for a Gladiator/Wrangler you'll find. At the end of the day its your money you should enjoy how things work. Fox are great shocks I look forward to hearing how they work out for you!
I also wonder how many of them just prefer a very cushy ride. I came from German sports cars to my Gladiator that have been modified with mild racing coilover setups and slammed to the ground. I think your also correct in that how much gear you run and the weight could be a factor.
A big...
I actually got to talk to Dennis from Teraflex at their party at EJS22. We ended up talking about the 3.5 e-aDapts. He told me his preference was to twist to soft/Cold, then set the dial all the way up to max. IIRC that should land firm mode a bit over soft when twisted to performance. I would...
Spacers sit between the spring and body to create lift. The spring still works essentially the same as before. Spring of longer length will have more travel essentially. Longer springs often will increase ride height compared to shorter springs.
Springs are made for various purposes some are...
Just a front will do. Trucks in general come with the rear higher mostly due to towing/payload reasons. If you see a kit with front and back spacers it'll likely be called a spacer lift or something similar.
