Something they've done at the dealer service was run the engine (assuming at idle) for 45 minutes to make sure it didn't overheat before road testing. I was never too keen on that for the reason you stated.

Whew! Service Advisor just called. They're replacing the reservoir. It looked to me like a piece broke off of the tray but I'll take a new reservoir over having to dig out the tray any day.

That would work and be a lot easier than a new tray. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll balk on the tray and I can slyly negotiate for something in exchange.

True. I think I would rather just ziptie the power steering reservoir to the tray than have them dig through all that. I also have my own electrical additions that they would have to mess with and I don't like that either.

I got word from the dealer the CEL was from P0330 Knock Sensor circuit 2 so their now replacing that. I also pointed out that they broke the Power Steering reservoir mount on the Battery tray. They said they would fix that too. Eventually I might have a Jeep again. 🤪
