  1. Full belly aluminum skid plate comparison

Yes, Quadratec is 6mm (I recall doing the conversion in google, but apparently didn't write it down!); and yes, that's basically ¼" I double-checked the Quadratec weights at the website: 123 lbs = 53 + 34 + 36 (engine + transfer case + gas tank). But you are correct that the total should be...
  2. Full belly aluminum skid plate comparison

Honestly, I don't know anywhere NEAR enough to offer an informed opinion on that topic, lol. On paper, it looks amazing, but I don't know if it's worth the extra money for my usage pattern. But I'm sure that there are smarter folks around here that have great perspective.
  3. Full belly aluminum skid plate comparison

Doing some research on full belly skid plates. I'm focused on aluminum, rather than steel. So this list purposefully omits all still. Question at the bottom on ground clearance impacts and installation experience. Brand Material Cost Weight Installation Finish Transfer Case Area Coverage*...
  4. Bed MOLLE Panels comparison chart

Since it's Black Friday and I'm looking to put MOLLE panels in the bed of my JTR, I have been doing a bunch of research. I put together this chart. Maybe some folks will find it useful and it will help out on their purchasing decisions. Brand Material Design Screw holes (in MOLLE grid) Bed...
  5. Confirmed: Rubicon Front Springs 340/ 343 are 1" Taller than Sport S Max Tow

So, that's kinda what I am thinking also... but my mental model of how the 26 different variants of the 2020 JT Front Coil Springs would play out started with a Driver-vs-Passenger split. That is half of them would be lefties and the other half righties. This approach (move the 340 to the...
  6. Confirmed: Rubicon Front Springs 340/ 343 are 1" Taller than Sport S Max Tow

An update that is a combo of good and strange news (but no real conclusion) My local parts guy checked the LE VIN (I found another one on Carmax) and confirmed the 340/343 combo for the front springs. (These are Rubi/gas/hardtop with the steel bumper). This syncs with the data from...
  7. Confirmed: Rubicon Front Springs 340/ 343 are 1" Taller than Sport S Max Tow

(smacks forehead) Great idea and great find @Aonarch ! I didn't even think to check the used marketplace (why would anyone wanna sell their JTR???) I'll bounce this VIN off my local parts guy and report back.
  8. Confirmed: Rubicon Front Springs 340/ 343 are 1" Taller than Sport S Max Tow

FWIW: I have a Rubicon 3.6 which came from factory w/ the plastic bumper. It has 339/340 on the front. (This is consistent with the above comment from @ShadowsPapa If anyone has info on the front coil spring part numbers for a 2020 Rubicon 3.6 automatic that came from the factory with the...
  9. Coil spring part numbers

Looking for someone with a specific JT: - 2020 Rubicon 3.6 automatic with Mopar Steel Bumper FROM FACTORY What are the part numbers from your front coil springs? (Left and Right) I found out that getting the Steel Bumper from the factory results in different springs than the plastic bumper...
  10. Dealership won’t flash the speedometer to match tire size. What now?

YMMV, but I got an AEV ProCal to accomplish the goal. Clearly less functionality than a Tazer, but I didn't want to do a bunch. When I talked to the dealer, they said that was the solution they recommended.
  11. Mopar winch plate experience?

I actually don't recall any black cushion tape in my version of the kit. I recall the clear vinyl to protect the grille. (And I installed that.) And a quick driveway inspection didn't reveal any. The winch is super-snug against the grille. As in, even a little leaf gets stuck there. The...
  12. Mopar winch plate experience?

I think that bar (that goes between the frame horns) is on a Sport or Overland model. It wasn't on my Rubi. I agree that those steps are likely to get access. I took the (Mopar) bumper off for my winch install. This was mostly because I didn't see anyone publishing any videos or web pages...
  13. Mopar winch plate experience?

Truth? I looked at the picture of the instructions... and thought: "I've seen that paper, but didn't know there were two sets of holes!" Then went out onto the driveway with a flashlight, crawled under the JT and checked to see what I did. I bet I plunked the winch in there lined it up...
  14. Mopar winch plate experience?

I got my fairlead set up and torqued before putting in the winch. (I have a Xeon 10-S.) After the winch got in there, it was super-tight up against the bumper... I can't really get in to work the fairlead bolts w/o taking the bumper off. (And after the winch is in there, the two pairs of...
  15. Mopar winch plate experience?

I agree with @DankjeeP ... I used the ones on the left in the pic (passenger side when installed). For me, this left the winch exactly centered.
  16. Mopar winch plate experience?

Wow, that sounds like quite an adventure! Always nerve-wracking to have to take the grinder to something brand new. Happy to help with the P/N. Have fun!
  17. Mopar winch plate experience?

@Deadeye I think that you are looking for 82215528AB (That's the centered version) Here is a link https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82215528ab.html that has a picture. Off-center is 82215527AB, but the pix of the winch that you mentioned have me thinking you are looking for centered. Kinda...
  18. Rock hard 4x4 rock rails installed

Yes, they go around (under?) and provide a decent step. Here is a not-so-bad pic. I have the Rock Hard for my 07 JK and the Ace for my JTR. Both on on 35s, the JK has a 3 ½" lift and the JTR has the Mopar 2", so the step is a welcome assist.
  19. What is the right Jack?

@Commodus what size Pro Eagle did you get? What do folks think about the difference between 1.5 vs 2 ton? I'm looking at the two Pro Eagle models, with the obvious trade-off between the capacity and the size/weight. (They end up being pretty close to the same price.)
  20. Rock hard 4x4 rock rails installed

There was red loctite on my JT, not a ton, but it was there. Got all of the body bolts off with a breaker bar, going slow, like @kevman65 said. Also used the typical trick of tightening for a couple of turns when it got super tough. That tends to work the loctite out of the threads. Back...
