I just put those on a couple weeks ago, replacing my stock (loud) BFG M/T's.
I couldn't be happier, a big improvement in all areas. I highly recommend.
Sold my 2015 Colorado 2.5L / 6-speed.
Absolutely great truck, never had to go back to the dealer over 90k miles.
If GM let me get 4wd and/or limited slip with the manual, I might have kept it.
But glad to have the JT soft top, didn't know what I was missing.
A properly designed manual transmission clutch that engages normally and doesn't catch on fire.
4.10 gears optional for all models, for those who do not drive 80 mph to be able to see mpg benefit from 6th gear.
I just put on Mickey Thompson narrow 34's (Baja Boss all terrain), same 255 width as my stock KM2's on stock Willy's wheels, so they sit in the fender easily.
Let it marinate for a bit and put money into a sinking fund in the meantime.
And then if you're still feeling it by that time, go buy it in full, and then no payments to worry about.
I really like the new Colorado, but no more manual is a deal breaker for me personally. My 2015 was a great...
I'm thinking about going this route too, at least for fog if nothing else. I could see the color difference getting peoples attention to some extent in normal daylight as well.
Just pulled the trigger and put my order in for Baja Boss pizza cutters.
Amped to see what they look and drive like based on what I've seen here. KM2's are getting loud also, ready to get those off.
With 4.10s I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
Worst case your 8-speed might become a 7-speed (depending on how fast you drive on the highway). I'm assuming you have an automatic that is.
