Very valid point. I can let my Auto run 10 minutes unattended, but I can't come to a 1 second stop without a shutdown while driving.

I tried getting used to it as well. It's just a pain, especially in short stops as it's overly aggressive with it's shutoff. If I'm at a notorious long light, I'll actually engage it to allow shutoff. Having a switch that keeps my last setting is IDEAL for my driving habits.

It drives me crazy. At least they could have allowed us the option to remember last state.
