Lockers, sway bar disconnect, wide track axles, and aux switches. I didn't want the 4:1 transfer case, but it wasn't a deal killer.
I could have installed all of this myself, but at the time of ordering (Late 2020) there was no good limited slip or locker available aftermarket. My preference is...
That's the bottom line here.....
You state that you don't plan to do anything crazy, so why bother? Something much cheaper off the shelf would probably do you just as well for your use?
You ether need to limit travel with a strap or spacer if you don't plan to change out the front driveline or...
Fronts bolt in. The rears I think you could drill out the misalignment spacers to 14mm and then possibly install an internal spacer if the overall length is too long for your brake hoses or springs unloading.
Front drive line replacement would be required for a shock over 28.5-29"? Or install...
I had my DPF replaced at 52K miles. It was broken/cracked internally.
All has been good since other than the dealer didn't re-install all of the clamps/fasteners and the rubber mount. I have only put 5K miles on it over the past year though.
Yaesu FT8900 that I had removed from sold vehicles. It has a remote head, so I mounted the main power unit under the driver's seat and double sided taped the head in between the shift console and dash.
The first round of mods......Lift, tires/wheels, Sunrider, CB, HAM radio, antennas/mounts, Tazer, tonneau cover, bedrug, and a few other things were in the shop at least a month before the truck was delivered. I pretty knew what I was looking for and got started right away.
The local NAPA stores sell Amsoil.....they might not have the variety that I do on the shelf, but they do stock some. Now that all of The local stores have been sold to corporate......that will probably change.
I use/sell Amsoil because of the UOAs and what I have personally seen over the past...
I have a pretty torque calibrated elbow after almost 34 years in the biz, but I still torque the small weak stuff like trans pans/filters, plastic filter housings, and other potentially critical items. I figure the client is paying me the rate to properly do it, so why rush and chance it?
About...
I had a tech acquire that attitude, but terminated him before I let him ruin my business.......So I got to do the warranty repairs myself unpaid. At least they were mostly minor leak issues.....took about 2 years before I didn't see anything come back leaking.
I had clients complaining that the...
The problem I commonly see is when you entrust your needs to a trusted provider billing you the high rates, but put a low paid tech on it doing sub quality work. As the honest qualified labor pool shrinks, this problem is going to get much worse.......
I see hack work almost daily....I hate to...
If you want the tech to use a torque wrench, it's gonna cost more that what the local quick lube charges!
We bill 1 hour to service a 4wd vehicle that has lube fittings. Takes time to do it right with minor inspection and checking every fluid.
@Sandman 4x4 Methane!!!??? Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones? If you are going to be a shithead and try to insult someone's work.....at least get it right? Have you engineered something that is WAY better? Probably not??!!!. "That was about a funny as a screen door on a...
My vote with or without the Rubi bar is the Apex Airlynx. You can benefit every day with the comfort allotted from the small bump compliance depending on what air pressure you choose to run. They work with stock height suspension and no cutting!
I have used the Teraflex FlexConnect links in the...
