I think you could do well by 4.10. I am not sure what the sweet spot is for those engines but I guess its in the mid 1000 rpm range. I would wait for an expert on the diesel gearing someone here must have real world experience regearing one.
Ooh just saw you are diesel. Strike the above advice lol. You won’t wanna have the engine revving that high. You are better off sticking with what you got, sorry.
If you are installing arbs you plan to do some moderate plus off roading sooo having larger gears can only help. From what I understand folks see better mileage on 37” and 4.88s gears than stock. Allows the trans to get into the upper gears while stock it has to stay down in the lower gears to...
See how it runs with 40s on the stock 4.10s and report back ;) An increase in sample size of folks doing so can only help here on the forum. Give you time to decide if you wanna go 5.13 or 5.39:muscle:
Driving my brothers current gen F-150 for 2k+ miles is why I knew I wanted a truck. Spent a lot of time researching. Went Gladiator because build quality and capability. It for sure bounces around more than my bros Ford does. Still a comfy ride IMO. I can drive it 70mph with one hand down the...
Be careful too of over focusing on single dimensions like total extension. While it does matter you need to be aware there are a lot of other factors. If extension is too long you may have a host of issues such as lines being too short, drive line this and that, coils fallong out et cetera. A...
When I hear “you are almost there” I wanna see some price breakdowns. I looked at crate axles from a few manufacturers and the cost was far more than beefing up my 44s. These axles can take some abuse the current gen on the JTs. Have a lot of upgrades that put them nearer a 60. There is not a...
Icon Rebound 17x8.5 4.75" backspacing 0 offset. Regular sport Dana 44s. Toyo Open Country RT 37"x12.5" like real ones they measure out just barely under 37". You can look on my build profile for media flexing it out and poke. Zero complaints there. My lift was a bit over 4.5". You are likely 4"...
That last honk of the horn cracked me up. Thats a big bummer. Seems like there must be a phrase similar to “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” in these types of situations.
4-6 weeks is quick turn around IMO. And sure you could have saved a bit installing stuff yourself but for what you get in that package they don't appear to be charging all that much for the install costs.
Probably due to the times and issues with shortages its been quite a struggle to get some...
I'll probably be running the firm set to somewhere in the middle. How is the AEV JT370 coming? Its there getting worked on now? I was looking at that again and it seems like a pretty good price for all the gear they throw on.
Where they too firm? What suspension did you pair them with? I have noticed that is a complaint while researching falcons. I wonder though how often that is due to the shocks being set to the firm mode rather than soft. Since you have to twist the rod when the shock is fully extended once it...
Motobilt is having a 10% off sale on all their bumpers. I liked the build of the Tomahawk up front so much that I'd been considering their Crusher rear. Well I now have this bumper ordered and on the way. The bumper wraps fully around the bed to the rear fenders and sits out a bit. Should offer...
I’m going to EJS maybe Teraflex will be there with that sweet SEMA Mojave Gladiator. A ride in it might be enough to convince me to be an early adopter ?
Oh also should mention if I had the Rubicon fenders, per Teraflex install instructions I'd have used like 1" less of spacers each corner. I'd still expect that I would be able to stuff it but I'd be slightly worried about those lines as they were already pretty close to maxed out.
