Yup. I keep the receipts for my oil and filters. I write the mileage on the filter box and stick it with the receipts into my Jeep binder. I’ve got receipts for $8 eye hooks, Alu-Cab, etc. Not going to be a hard sell that the oil has been changed.
For sale are the Falken Wilkpeak A/T 285/70-17’s off my 2022 JTR. I was just going to hang onto these, but I decided to move them. These have 4,500 miles on them and are in excellent condition. No patches or plugs in the tires and no scuffs on the wheels. Comes with the center caps and TPMS*...
My engine must have broken in recently or something (11,000 miles on JTR). I’ve been averaging 17.5+ MPG lately with mostly around town driving. Current average at 19.0 MPG which is amazing for my rig.
For the better part of the first ~8,500 miles, I averaged ~15 MPG.
As already noted…I’d replace your storage bench first. I can’t imagine that a shallower/shorter aftermarket bumper is going to buy you that much space.
Need to re-gear? No.
Will you notice the difference vs. stock if you’re even remotely observant? Yes.
Would you want to re-gear eventually? That’s a personal choice. I doubt that many folks out there are re-gearing from 4.10 just for 35’s.
They’ve go the VIN. They can go pull a CarFax or similar report from that. Whether legit or not, I’d pass. I don’t have the time or interest to deal with stupid requests like that.
Engine oil and filter change today. 10,600 miles. Torqued to proper specs (no ham-fisted antics in my garage).
Took me long enough to get there, lol. I’ve had my JTR for 14 months. That’s the longest it’s ever taken me to hit 10K miles.
I did the same thing a while back. I got a really long zip-tie, wrapped some duct tape on it, and the card stuck to it and pulled it right out. Was a great idea that was provided by a member here.
Pretty sure OP is talking about the 1/8” gap to the right of the e-brake handle...
Fight Club It’s a fictional movie (obviously), but the monologue covering recalls or lack there of on the plane comes to mind.
Having to handle a suit on occasion (assuming the owner doesn’t just opt to take the insurance payout and leave it at that) isn’t going to burden their legal...
What does a clutch recall have to do with a fire starting in the bed?
If it had anything to do with that recall, you’d think they would have noticed the fire before it got to the bed.
Build what you want on the Jeep website and see what the price difference is.
In my case, it made more sense to just upgrade. That and I could just press the ‘Easy’ button and find a (essentially) strippy JTR on a lot anywhere.
I’m sure it’s got to be a nuisance, but how hard is it to come up with a receipt these days? I’ve got an email with a receipt for pretty much everything of value that I’ve bought for the last 10+ years. I’ve got email folders labeled Jeep, Scuba Diving, Gun Stuff, etc.
For everything else (I.e...
If you can find a new one for $10K off (didn’t know that’s where the market was at the moment) and you’ve got 50K+ miles (did not see the miles question addressed)…I’d have to amend my vote to take the buyback.
It really wouldn’t be difficult to hit that number. Especially with shop labor...
I will have to try this feature over the treacherous speed bumps at Starbucks tomorrow. ?
You folks take “the internets are serious business” to a whole other level.
If it’s good now (it sounds like that’s the case), it’s setup how you want it, and you’ve got an extended warranty…I’d keep it.
With interest rates being what they are now…I wouldn’t want to have to be in the market for a new ride at the moment.
