That’s just my uneducated opinion driven by my staying in a Holiday Inn Express last night. For all I know…the driving miss daisy/mall crawler types may get by just fine with stock axles while cruising through the Sonic parking lot.
I doubt you’d be running stock axles for long, lol.
The link above has a 404 Error, so this option must not have worked out that well (or been that popular).
If I were going to do an engine swap, it would be to the 5.7L HEMI. Can still run 87 octane, enough of a power bump to put a smile on...
A lot of people don’t even include the TPMS. I would note in the listing that the wheels are from a JTR with a build date of XX/2021, you can’t guarantee that they’ll work with their vehicle, and the buyer is responsible for sourcing replacement TPMS, if necessary.
I would not take it upon...
I’ve placed a few grand worth of orders with you guys and you deleted my post noting that I wasn’t able to see the discount while signed into my profile? So I could…like…spend more money with you?
He could go out and say that they’re cancelling it tomorrow, delaying the release, moving it up, decreasing the towing rating, etc. If you’re not in a rush…it doesn’t really matter though.
On the power…yes…that would be my point. It’s adequate, but nothing to write home about. If you’re not...
My two cents…drive a couple JT’s and form your own opinion. I drove a Sport and thought it rode like a minivan. That is to say cushy and comfortable. My JTR…I would say it rides like a Jeep, which some would say means it rides like shit. It’s what I wanted though.
Towing 3,000 lbs isn’t going...
It could be worse. You could be dealing with Tacoma ergonomics. I wanted one off and on for almost 20 years. This latest round of vehicle shopping (sat in one and didn’t leave the lot) killed that dream for good.
I knew I was going to get a camper shell (accessibility with the soft top didn’t appeal to me and I don’t like the look of JT’s in that configuration) and I had security concerns, as I expected to have to go into the city on occasion, so I went with the hard top. The latter concern didn’t end up...
I feel the need to share a story. Perhaps It will inspire someone to take a crack at their own home brew intake.
I test drove a 1997 Camaro SS years ago. It was pretty loud. Off road pipe/de-cat and no mufflers loud. Upon deceleration with the six speed manual transmission (not easy to find...
My last truck was a ‘16 Ram 1500. To me…at the end of the day…the Gladiator is a Jeep that can do a lot of truck stuff well, but there were definitely trade-offs to keep the Jeep function and aesthetic. The only thing I would have been happy incorporating from the Ram into the 1500 is the engine...
Oh, I’m satisfied with it, but I want more. I.e. Like when someone stuffed a Rolls-Royce Merlin in a P-51 Mustang. Great airframe with a lot of potentially, but originally an underpowered dog.
