I agree. Charts like this are silly.
And with a chart that lists four discontinued models, one EV, three Euro models priced at 100k+
and an over-hyped, re-badged Alfa-Romeo that nobody wants.
Not an accurate take on the market as far as I'm concerned.
Yup. Same thing happened to me. Driving through a nearby town 20 miles from home and spotted my old Mojave at a restaurant. It was parked so I couldn't see who the new owner was, but it looked just as perfect as when I had it. Made me feel a little better about trading it. :)
I hear you. Safety and family go hand in hand.
With that said, try not to presume that this is not what you want to be in. My prediction is that you will be very happy with the Ram and all of the benefits (although different from a JT) that it has to offer. It's an awesome truck.
Bad thing...
Once you get it home, post pics of that new family member with the heartbeat of 395 ponies!
Soon the Hemi will be history, so maybe a sound clip at the rear exhaust during cold start-up to take me back to those glory days?!
Enjoy! ;)
But to say goodbye to the entire CDJR line? Not realistic thinking.
In comparison, the General and Blue Oval QC is dismal and dealer/warranty support is equally the same. It's all about money, cost cutting, higher profits and such.
As far as the dealers are concerned, they are caught between...
Oh my. Washington state is so far out of reach with the tax base.
Hard to grasp how it is done on a daily basis. No different than California I guess. Just, wow.
I can completely understand your decision. I too had to move away from my JTM eight months ago for different reasons. Still missing the fun and attention that it got. And yes, still lurking here to keep connected.
Stayed with Jeep at this point with a WL74 Summit. More family friendly for us...
Because the whole picture is not mentioned.
Stellantis wants everyone to think it all is about CARB regs and such. But the plain fact is that WL sales are down sharply with too much inventory on dealer lots. This is a direct result of high MSRP pricing that excludes many from affording the...
All of our friends still drive Silverado's and Sierra's. In the last decade, I can't understand why GM moved to the cheap feel and the build quality of these units.
I started driving Ram 1500 trucks a dozen years ago and never looked back. Then they changed the game in 2019 with the DT. Two...
The 2024 Glad X models will be very well equipped but not necessarily loaded. According to my sales rep (and good friend) base X pricing will be in the low to mid 60k range. Adding additional luxury options quickly push it to 70k plus if you check all the boxes.
Either way you slice it, if you want a 2024 Rubicon X or Mojave X with a few nice options, you will be in the $70K neighborhood before offers or discounts. :(
