Someone will come out with an aftermarket replacement fender that looks less ridiculous. Kinda like with the stock base Gladiator. I’m sorry, but it’s…lacking…off the showroom floor.
This is why I used the Costco vehicle purchase program. Probably not the best deal, but it was hassle free. I had to drive almost two hours to get my JT. It was worth it.
You’re assuming the salesman is an idiot. He’s probably just trying to convince you to settle and take a vehicle without ACC because the delivery time is shorter (hurry up and get commission). You’re assuming the manager didn’t tell him to do that.
I had a Cherokee (XJ) Sport years ago that didn’t have power door locks or power windows. It didn’t bug me that much, as it only cost me $3K.
I wouldn’t spend $30K+ on a vehicle without those features, but that’s just me. I will likely never run without doors. If you’re planning on running door...
3.6 JTR here. Anecdotally (just watching the “needle” move), it seems to be a bit of a drop. I’d guess in the neighborhood of what @dcmdon reported above.
That being said…I always disable the ESS and my driving for the moment is 100% around town at x < 55 MPH, so any figures that I could...
There are two downsides with hard camper shells: 1. price, and 2. Weight.
I wanted a camper shell on my last two trucks, but didn’t have the dough. For this one…I had the funds set aside for it before I bought the truck. It’s exactly what I wanted and I wouldn’t go back to a regular bed cover...
Pick-up an inexpensive bed cover. If you have a “boss,” tell them it’s necessary to ensure the safe completion of your landscaping project.
Toss a ~$5-10 harbor freight tarp in the bed to keep it from getting filthy.
Add to that the benefit of better ride quality (in my case…at least). BFG A/T 315/70-17 (baby 35’s, lol) vs. Falken A/T 285/70-17…night and day difference. No more bone jarring bumps around town. Looks great, too.
Just looking forward to taking it off some sweet jumps.? These really should have...
See the interior picture of the passenger side. It was most definitely submerged. Staining on dash, shift boot, water still in floorboard, etc.
Caught in a flood or someone was having a REALLY good time…until they weren’t, lol.
Unless you’re from the shire, I’m curious to hear how roomy and comfortable your think the taco is.
I’m not all “ooh rah Gladiator” or anything like that, but I’d go back to a Subaru Outback before I’d buy a Tacoma.
That and Toyota is playing some serious f**k f**k games with their out the...
Yup. My car was just over a year old and had about 20,000 miles. It looked pristine, but spent more time on a flatbed than under its own power for months.
Branded titles are a thing for a reason. If someone wants to take on that (likely) lemon, more power to them.
