Day 6 – Saturday 20 May
I decided today would only be a half day on the trail so we could spend some time in downtown Moab. With, my temporary wheeling partner gone I headed off to tackle Metal Masher alone. I assumed this would be a low traveled trail but also expected to catch up with a group...
Day 5 – Friday 19 May
I decided to head out to Hell’s Revenge in the morning since I assumed it would be busy later in the day. This was a 30-year-old bucket list trail for me so I was super-excited. I ended up doing this solo and ran into a few Willy’s and followed behind them. I had planned...
Day 4 – Thursday 18 May
On Tuesday I mentioned to Dean that I was planning on doing Elephant Hill later in the week and he wanted to do that trail also but was leaving Friday. With this information I adjusted my schedule and moved Elephant Hill up a few days. We ended up heading south of Moab...
Day 3 - Wednesday 17 May
We visited Arches National Park this day and received and Email stating the White Rim Road was “flooded at Upheaval Wash due to river flows above 18,000 cfs. Vehicles are at risk of getting stuck. High river flows could continue through early June. Check current...
Day 2 – Tuesday 16 May
I started off with the intent to run Fins and Things and Hell’s Revenge this day. I ended up meeting up with Dean, the owner of the 2 Door JL, at City Market and we headed off to the Sand Flats Recreation area. After airing down we did Baby Lion’s Back to get a quick...

You will be able to handle fins and things and hell's...
After some small trips, my daughter mentioned the lack of an armrest on her right side. I took that as a challenge. Here is what I came up with. Armrest, cupholder, and phone slot that can be removed if needed. I may need to reupholster but leaving on a 17 day trip this Friday so that can wait.
Hope you get better soon.
I am definitely in the light weight camping mindset when my family doesn't go with me. Here is my setup from this past weekend in Virginia at Caldwell Fields near Pott's Mountain Jeep Trail. I just sleep in the bed under the SofTopper.
Bummer on not being able to meet up but I completely understand. I am trying to convince my wife we need to move out west but that has been a losing battle for 30 years.
I am fully expecting to bump and scrape a lot and have MetalCloak diff skids and belly skid, plus Rusty's frame side control...
Thanks for your in depth testing and review of the springs. I have been contemplating switching out my 1.5" Teraflex spacers for springs on my Rubicon. After reading this I think the 2" synergy may be the way to go even though I may need to use the 1/2" spacer wit them to maintain the current...
Sounds like you are thinking things through which is great and there is some great advice above. Just one question. How are you planning on carrying 4-10 sets of skis with the soft top? I would opt for the hardtop so you can add crossbars for the Ski rack in the winter and be able to haul the...
After designing this storage solution in my head for months I started working on it in mid February. I wanted a place to hold my Fridge, Bluetti, and dry goods in the cab while still having 3 seats. I didn't want a simple platform to strap everything to and decided to add a couple levels. This...
RuffStuff make some good long D-ring mounts. I have a set waiting in my garage for a future rear bumper. https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/R1422.html
Decided that I needed more covered space for my 3-week trip out west so bought and installed a SofTopper. I have DIY bed rails with the deep Unistrut and had to modify them to fit the brackets. The brackets contacted the bottom of the Unistrut and wouldn't engage the large hooks in the top of...
Believe what you want to believe but my wife does say I drive like a grandpa. I have found anything over 70 mph and my gas mileage drops considerably.
Also, just curious what tire and wheel combo are you running? The 37" KO2 C is the same weight as the stock wildpeak:
and it seems to...
