I might consider that PHEV JTR next year or probably the year after, but we'll see. We drove over to Arizona from Albuquerque a couple weeks ago, and I got tired of stopping for gas every 200 miles. The off-road work (I'm a geologist) was great, but getting there was costly.
My 2024 JTR can barely reach 300 miles before I have to fill up. I'm leaving Albuquerque for Gila Bend soon, and I'll fill up at least once on the way. Our RAV4 PHEV gets well over 450 miles on EV and gas combined, and around town with our rooftop solar free. I believe we've heard all these...
I'm an archaeological geochemist, so I've analyzed many different materials in the last 35 years+. Mostly rocks, but many metals as well: www.swxrflab.net.
FYI, I run a x-ray fluorescence spectrometry lab and analyze metals for many with similar questions. If you send me a sample, I can tell you what it is (I'm not taking it off my JTR though).
As a young pup, I had a 73 CJ-5 I got new for $3400.00, that's right 3400, and put a steel cabled Warn on the front (I was 24). I used to go up to the mountains in east San Diego County when it snowed and pulled out the idiots in their sedans for 25 bucks. If they said no, I'd just get back in...
I had a 2022 JTR with a manual, and a 2024 with AT, and not much different. The MT might have been a bit better, but I'm not sure. Either way mileage is poor.
I have the Bilstein Mopar lift, and on 35s they are both at 42" at the bottom of my JTR fender. According to some here there must be something wrong with mine!
