I put one on a new 1988 GMC S-15 when I was 16. I was not sure about it, but once said truck was lifted with bigger tires and a vinyl tonneau cover, it really set it off nicely. Somehow the tonneau cover helped visually/proportionally. Obviously, so did the lift/tires. I ended up really liking...
I do not have actual measurements, but… Mickey Thompson says 34.6 and I don’t recall anything else more specific.
Pictured are the two and they are both mounted. It is all I have got.
¯\_(❛︣ ͜ʖ ❛᷅)_/¯
Kenda Klever R/T are 35x10.5x17. Just a 1/2 inch yes, but not quite there.
Kenda left - Mickey right
I 100% prefer the Mickeys. Literally nothing actually wrong with the Kenda, but I myself prefer an A/T over an R/T and yes… 1/2 inch narrower.
Looks perfectly fine to me. Good too even. 2” AEV lift and 2” larger tires, even if only figuratively, just puts the overall look back into proportion.
I roll on narrower than the norm 35s (2 different sets-summer/winter) with an AEV lift as well, but hey… that is me and what I like. No...
Mopar. Silly tidbit… the red handle levers say “Eject.” I thought that was funny.
😄
CCM mirrors.
I did get the Mopar zip-on mesh covers and they are very helpful on cool morning commit. They don’t look GREAT, but function over fashion… right?!? The mesh JTops helps “soften the blow” of said...
Good information!
Definitely saving this… just in case.
Installed May of 2022. 36K miles. I lost something of them once, called and was sent replacements quite quickly. My thumbscrews are tight AF. So much so, that I have to use a rag of sorts to loosen them. Have yet to lose any of...
I can see your point… of those Mojaves that want to be Rubicons. So few stick to its actual intended purpose, but hey… I personally find crawling boring.
$0.2
I bought a new 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro (first 4Runner) and just did not like it one tiny bit. Mind you, I am just not an SUV type I have concluded with that one. I like a truck bed, even if a small one. It was boring AF and uncomfortable too. I could not stand to drive 200 miles...
Me personally… I would build a better Mojave, but stick to its intended purpose of high speed desert/dune running. Actual long travel, motor, aluminum add-ons (bumpers, skids), etc. I myself have no interest in overlanding and/or rock crawling. Silver Lake Sand Dunes is nearby and also have...
I wholeheartedly agree on the 4.56 gearing.
I put 35x10.5x17 Kenda Klever R/Ts on 17x8.5” and 0 offset Method 315s (wheels - 27.82 lbs.) the day after I brought home my self-ordered 2022 Mojave.
I have no actual Jeep comparison (first Jeep).
I also run 255/85R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts...
Keeping wheel spacer/tire width to a minimum, you are OK. Along with high(er) offset wheels and you will be perfectly fine.
Hub centric wheel spacers are an absolute must.
I run 1.5” wheel spacers with stock Mojave wheels and 10” wide tires (winter). It is nearly identical to 8.5” wide 0...
There is a splitter plug provided in the kit. I believe it was an option/choice when purchasing(?). I only had to tap into the wiring for the reverse light. That in conjunction with the OEM tail lights and bumper lights… imagine!
Also… I did not do the adhesive mounting option. Clips (&...
4th. brake light!
Amber sequential signal indicators!!
Generally speaking… I really do feel red signal indicators are/tend to be problematic and should always be amber. Tinted tail lights… gtfo.
BRIGHT AF reverse light too!
I said this previously… that LEDs do weird things on camera and as far...
2” AEV w/GCBs and nothing else mechanical. The GBCs utilize their top hole (of 3). Drives as exceptional as anyone would hope for/expect it to. I could not imagine being any happier with its driving characteristics. I am a firm believer in PROPER hub bore size wheels, which is 71.5mm...
The ones tested in the video are the AT4Ws and are more “heavy duty” oriented (for towing and such). Trailbuilt Off-Road (Wisconsin based) preferred the 3s, if I remember correctly.
I personally do not run the stock AT3W myself (took them off day 2 of Mojave ownership), but have seen a lot...
Self-ordered 2022 Mojave. First Jeep. Far from new to 4x4 pickups and the like.
I have AEV 2” & GCBs. GCBs utilize the top hole. It drives absolutely incredible. As smooth as anyone would expect/want it to.
I run either 35x10.5x17 on 17x8.5” and 0 offset Methods during the warm weather...
