Well the one I ordered has the same options you have, the only difference is the color and I ordered the diesel. My dealer assured me it would have 1200+ payload when I ordered so seeing this along with your 900+ payload sticker donāt give me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I sure as hell hope Iām...
Thanks for posting this, IF this is accurate, I should be ok at least on the GVWR side. Still concerned about the payload numbers that seem to be all over the place.
itās a little confusing why they have 3 different GVWR ratings in 3 different places
If thatās the case Iām gonna have a serious case of the red ass when my Overland gets here after waiting 12-15 weeks or more to get it. Ordered 4/21 after a lot of talk with the sales rep and store manager regarding the towing/payload numbers and they supposedly called someone that confirmed...
I wonder if they changed something in the two model years to up it a whole 243 pounds or maybe it's because the ones I built are a diesel? Not sure if yours is a gasser or not Bill?
I ordered a Overland diesel April 21st and the dealer called someone and they assured me the payload would be 1275...
When I researched this and built all these models with the same options this is what I found. The Overland is only 100 pounds less than the Willys but is 200 pounds more than the Rubicon
Thatās pretty interesting. The narrower the rim is makes the tire look more narrow mounted. At least to my eye on this picture, thanks for sharing it
Thanks for the reply. I've seen lots on here say it's ok and obviously are doing it. My biggest concern with it is kinda two fold:
1. Could there be negative effects doing so with towing 5-6000 lbs (blow outs ect.)
2. Finding a shop to mount them and If there's an issue is it covered under...
Thanks for the info! I have a Overland diesel on order and have purchased the mopar lift (dealer installing when it comes in) I didn't do enough tire research prior to buying the 17" Willys take off wheels....may have to sell them and buy aftermarket wheels to get the tires I want
Sarge your JT build was one of my favorites I looked at on here while researching. If I was keeping the Overland wheels this would be the way I would go but I'm finding out, switching down to the 17" wheel has me very limited in tires options in the size I want. If the Overland wheels were black...
Looks good Hostile, these may be an option I have to look at, was hoping for some BFG KO2's but i'd like to have a AT tire that are true 34"-35". Do the Nitto's wear good? Had a buddy that had a set of Nitto AT's and they didn't last very long for him.
Thank you! That looks about exactly what i'm wanting to achieve with my JT. If you don't mind me asking, are you stock or lifted? What tires are those?
Thank you for the replies. I didn't specify which rim I was talking about but I am talking about the17" Willys rim. I bought a set to put on my Overland when it comes in. I like the Overland rim but I wanted a black rim and didn't want to mess with the whole plastidip deal to get them.
I will...
Seen several posts here with guys/gals running 35/12.5ās or 315/70ās on stock wheels but what Iāve seen, those size tires have a minimum rim size of at least 8ā and the stockers are only 7.5ā. Am I missing something? Iād like to go with one of these 2 sizes but also want to be within spec?
I'm looking at the BRP Auto Designs box for my JTOD when it shows up. Looks like it fits well and good quality https://brpautodesigns.com/jeep-gladiator-subwoofer-box-and-subwoofer-combo/
