Best bet would be to watch this forum for someone that is removing them from their Overland or Sport model. Those are heavy duty plastic that are much lighter and easier to install.
in the JK world a base Sport was a 24B package or a 24A package meaning one was a manual and the other an automatic.. The Sports S's were 24S and 23S or something along those lines

Countless JKU owners carry as much weight as you are talking about with little-to no-issue. The JT has larger rear brakes which should help. I would look into adding some Air-Lift airbags and possibly some larger front brakes if you are really concerned
What Mark Doiron said can't be stressed enough. Also, put the stock steering stabilizer back on and leave it on. Aftermarket ones are notorious for causing slight pulling issues.
