Rear springs are 21.5” roughly and the fronts are about 19.75”. I don’t know what the stock rubicon springs are. I can say the rear springs are stout.
Well, this keeps adding up, self inflected of course.
just purchased several items:
-New coil isolators
-Front and rear metal cloak durometer bump
stops
-2” rear bump stop extensions (reusing the front ones from the teraflex spacer kit for the front)
-Synergy front track bar
-Teraflex rear...
Humvee’s aren’t very big compared to modern vehicles. I forget how small they are until you get in one. There is space but not very usable more like not comfortable. The hi back variant I had, think single cab pickup was used as an “overland” vehicle more than most of the Instagram people could...
Sitrep,
so my eibach 2” springs are en route. Emailed eibach to get some date points on the spring rate
Front: E30-51-024-02-20 has a spring rate of 150 lbs/in
Rear: E30-51-024-03-02 has a spring rate of 175 lbs/in to 275 lbs/in
Moral of the story, front are linear amd the rear are...
With the Clayton 1.5” you might not need to upgrade the shocks. Yes, it would be better to upgrade but, many have installed the teraflex spacer which is the same lift amount and have run their stock shocks. I’m one of them but the stock shocks, even the rubicon fox ones, leave something to be...
Falcon and fox 2.0 are the common ones most seem to get. I have a set of bilstein 5100s en route for my suspension upgrades. I went with bilstein because they seem to work well with springs I also purchased, eibach.
Clayton recommends the falcons or fox, so I’m guessing they Pair well with...
I guess I put a ball in motion, I started the process to buy a lift kit….
I have mopar lower control arms,
Mopar extended sway bar end links,
I ordered the bilstein 5100s for each corner plus their steering stabilzer ( didn’t have a good reason not too.
the last pieces of the puzzle would be...
That looks great and exactly what I’m looking for. I might not do the full kit of new control arms but it looks good. Side note, I have been tossing around the the idea of those yellow aev center caps too. They break up the muted color palate a lot.
I think you were the one who put eibach on my radar initially too. That review is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Did you start off with rubi shocks and springs or a different combo? And are the falcons worth the extra couple hundred more?
also any photos of this set up?Are you running...
So after pricing the f/r eibach 2” springs and bilstein 5100s on each corner, I’m looking at $650~. Not a bad price since I already have the mopar lift front lower control arms and extended end links. It’s a pretty tempting set up. I’m running a pretty light set up with no topper or rack, only...
I know there a couple of people out there that have installed the eibach pro-line springs on their JTs, I am interested in what their thoughts are after having them for awhile. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on the spring rate or how they handle vs stock or other brands...
I have had mine replaced because a rock got kicked up from the my neighbor's lawn care guy mowing. This was last year early fall time frame, I called my insurance company and I have a 50$ deductible so it wasn't to bad. The only downside was that the vehicle was so new to the market that they...
I don’t really think the Toyota reliability everyone thinks of relates to any of their American market trucks, specifically the Tacoma. The gen 1 Tacoma (from 95-04) were still hilux’s, so yeah they had the old reliability but from 05’ and up they have not been what people idealize. C channel...
