So… I guess I’m in the same boat as some people who got the plug n play harness. I can’t manage to hook up the passenger side to the harness, it will s about a foot short. Is there something I’m missing? The driver’s side is hooked up and bright. Fit and finish is legit.
I’m interested as well. I’ve had my truck into the dealership twice for oil changes since the recall, each time the service manager says “oh yeah there is a recall, it could take 15mins or 3 hours for it to get installed.” Then they come back and say the update isn’t available for your truck...
looking at the frame an and the way the exhaust routes on the manual, it seems like I could add some sort of brace since the frames are the same and have the holes are already tapped for screws.
I just keep the stock spare wheel and upgraded to 35” tire. I don’t have a problem with a 4 wheel rotation just wanted to be able to keep an equal size tire in the event of a non-repairable flat while driving. Unless you are doing a 5 wheel rotation why waste the money on a matching spare...
For those who have a 6spd and are interested, these do fit. I just did the instal today took maybe an hour. You will have to supply/ source a new m12 1.5x40 type 2 bolt though (or at least I will since the oem skid plate has only two and on the autos I’m guess they have three) for the bolts...
Memorial Day weekend adventure to the mountains of North Carolina. The JTR isn’t going to see anything other than the highway amd maybe the gravel driveway but it looks good in the scenery.
The crumple / crush cans that are in the stock bumpers actually do dissipate the energy from a front impact. This is one of the reasons arb full width bumpers are engineered to repurpose the cans from the stock bumper. Their stubby doesn’t reuse them and in theory the crush cans do aid in airbag...
Over the 14k I’ve had my jtr manual with a tonneau cover, 315s on aev saltra xr’s, arb stubby and a warn winch I’m getting 18 mpg. Daily drive is roughly 60miles a day doing around 55 to 60 mph.
I will say that asfir customer service is great so far. They emailed today about my order since I put in that it’s for a manual gladiator and they checked to confirm that it was and asked if I was certain I wanted to still get them. I said yes and that I would update them if it fits and document...
So, would 4.56 or 4.88 be ideal for rolling hills and occasional trail time with 35s? I know aev re-gears to 4.56 on their builds.
Asking for a friend….
That’s the same boat I’m in. I like the quality of the lift but it’s pretty tall unladen. I had priced out synergy coils plus shocks that are roughly 2” front and 1” rear and with new shocks it was 1100~ish. At that point the aev or mopar would be a better option.
so many choices, it can be a...
I also didn’t mean to come across as an a-hole but I’m on the hunt for a lift also with similar criteria as the op and just wanted to share what I had found, especially since the op stated that they might want 37s in the future and tge Clayton lift seems to be one of the best went it comes to...
It actually does state that it comes with it. If you read beyond the photos in the description portion, it states in all caps that the kits come with the high clearance rear track bar.
If you are looking to just clear 35s now and 37s down the road and not super worried about the payload, yeah the mopar wouldn’t be a bad option. The mopar kit and some rubicon fenders when you step up to 37s would fit the bill then.
Im running the teraflex spacer and the mopar lift control arms...
If you are interested in a lift that retains the payload look at the aev kit that comes with the longer and tuned shocks and geo correction bracket. The aev and mopar lift are similar priced but the aev comes with more like the rear track bar relocation bracket.
The Clayton ride right 2.5” has a...
