I've been trying to convince my wife to let me buy the Metrix HDs before their sale ends. So far all I get is a funny look from her and a reminder that we just spent $135K on home additions that we funded ourselves. Should I maybe blackmail her? My plan is to go 35" pizza cutters. Need to find...
What Papa said but I would add a trailer brake controller. My setup for our camper includes friction bars that minimize sway and transfer the load to the front wheels. I don't like WD hitches with chains. Some people do as some come with a side mounted sway
I sold them new. Never mounted them but I did notice how lightweight they were. The tires looked aggressive and cool. I'm consortium those too but I'm afraid they might be tucked in too much with aftermarket wheels or spacers on my ugly rims.
On the Willys I traded for the JTR, I had 33" mud tires. When I went from 32s to 33s I honestly didn't notice a difference. Granted, I don't do pedal to metal most of the time but when I did it accelerated great. The one thing I noticed is that the speedo was 100% accurate with GPS and speed...
When I did my LED spot lights, I used switch number 3, 15 amp. I cut the harness they came with (eliminated the relay) and left the + & - wires only. Works like a charm. Make sure you select the proper settings for the switches through the radio. Good luck.
I really like the Analogs and the Metrix HD. The Analogs are out of stock so I may order the Metrix. Since these are 0 offset, I'm wondering how they much will push out 35x10.5R17 tires. I like about an inch of poke, not more or less.
I traded the Willys for a Rubicon. No more plans on installing Truetracs since it has lockers. I'm concentrating on doing a small lift, wheels and 35s.
I'm about to pull the trigger on another TF 1.5" leveling kit. I traded my Willys for a Rubicon and will do a 2" TF leveling by stacking a second 1/2" puck over the 1.5" bringing the front to 2" and 3/4 inch spacers in the back. Since you already have the TF 1.5" why not add another 1/2" puck...
Installed Rhinoskin running boards. 100% surprised with the quality and finish. Installation was simple and everything lined up perfectly. They feel solid. I really like the texture. I also installed some no brand spot lights.
I have a 600lbs WD hitch with friction bars. Serves two purposes, help transfer the weight towards the front of the truck and control sway. With this hitch the JT tracks pretty straight with minimal sway when windy and almost none in calm days. I would stay away from chain hitches as they are...
Did you regear for the 37"? I did 4.88s on my YJ a few years back and it helped a lot with 33". I lived at around 3,600' in elevation at that time. After moving here at 7,300' if felt gutless I downsized to 31s and it woke up.
