  1. Anyone want to guess what color these are? Grey or Bronze.

All are HD Dana 44s. Overland does not have Max Tow as an option so you axles are not the wide axles.
  2. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

Being that they are probably the lightest tire on that size, the difference from going up in size should be felt less when compared to a Kanati Lead Hog. The 33" I took off the Willys were HEAVY!
  3. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

The Territories measure 33.5? Wow, those actually run smaller than the BFGs which usually run smaller.
  4. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

    Never mind. Found them. Thanks.
  5. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

Going to check right now. Which generals?
  6. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

Thanks for the replies. I expanded my search and now I'm going to add a 285/75 to the mix. With the 75s I don't need new wheels and the difference in height compared to the 315s is .5" or less depending on tire brand. Not sure what brand tire but I want an AT with the 3 Peak certification. It...
  7. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

The reason I'm looking at the KO2s is due to the almost $100 discount each. I don't think I've ever seen them at this discount. I had them on my YJ and they do great offroad. I don't purposely go mudding but when it rains here the gravel roads turn into a muddy mess. I heard KO2s aren't that...
  8. Help me pick. KO2s or GY Territory -315/70R17

I'm trying to be responsible here with the purchase. Given that we have spent almost $140K on home additions and other projects since we moved to our vacation home late last year and we did not finance any of it (all cash). I am trying to stay reasonable in the tire/wheel upgrade on the JTR...
  9. Maxxis Razr AT $95 at Walmart

Walmart at it again. I've taken advantage of their ridiculously low prices on tires before. Now that I am looking for 35s I haven't come across anything on 17". I check every day. ?
  10. Which model Gladiator to buy

Are you sure the one with the aftermarket wheels isn't a bait and switch scheme? Back where I used to live before moving to NM, the local dealer would list Gladiators at a great price including incentives just to get you into the showroom floor. Then they would dump the addendum to the price...
  11. Seen this on the news feed …oops

For Sale: Jeep Wrangler owned by a grandma, never smoked, low miles and absolutely no water damage. Selling due to a newly developed condition called hydrophobia.
  12. Old post about Kanati Mud Hogs LT315/70R17 121/118Q E on Walmart $125

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably going to stay at 35 since I don't want to regear. To do so is a logistical nightmare since there is no local shops here that do that. Don't get me wrong I fancy 37s but since I live at 7,300 ft., and I tow, I don't want to hurt that capability too much by going...
  13. Old post about Kanati Mud Hogs LT315/70R17 121/118Q E on Walmart $125

So after buying the 35" Terra Hunters for $87 ea., and selling them, now I am contemplating the purchase of five Terras since I traded the Willys for a Rubicon. I wish I hadn't sold the tires. When you mention that you can feel the lag, is it really that bad?
  14. 35x11.5R17 for Towing and Offroad??

I tow a 20' Geo Pro camper and an 18' dual axle flat bed trailer and have been looking for tire options since I want to upsize but don't want to hurt too much towing capacity. I am at a crossroads with this. For the price of five 35x11.5r17 (keeping the OEM wheels) I can but a set of four F52...
  15. Ok, something is definitely wrong. Help!

I guess I am that old when things were simpler in cars and this worked.
  16. Ok, something is definitely wrong. Help!

Back in the day, I would disconnect the positive lead to the battery and if the car died then the alternator was bad. The car would run until the battery was drained since the alternator would not charge. I am not familiar with the auxiliary battery on the JTs.
  17. Scuffed Rear Bumper

Mine has scuffs on both sides. I plan on spraying it if I can find the color that matches.
  18. 2024 Willys versus Mojave

In my opinion, and speaking from experience, a JTW on 33" does not need regear for towing. Before I traded the JTW< I towed a 20 foot camper and an 18 foot flatbed trailer and it did everything I asked for. Really not much difference from 32" to 33". Granted both trailers are on the lighter...
  19. Puddle Jumper - Do It all Overlander

Todat, I installed the one I took off the Willys before I traded it for the JTR. Honestly I didn't want to mess too much with the dash and really didn't want to disassemble the shifter console or drill a hole near the push start. I ended up installing the knob by the drivers knee panel. I can...
  20. Winch mounting plates

The Grimm looks to be the simplest one to install since you don't have to align the plate with the bumper mounting bolt holes. The problem I see with it is that it is about half or more the cost of the winch. I might still consider it if I can't find something better.
