It's a little awkward to set the rear latches with the JTops, but there is enough slack to do it.
For the front latches, there is a folding panel with a magnetic strip on it, there is NO interference at all with that properly folded back.
I plan my trips off-road with Gaia and OnX both now. I have an iPhone I issued myself from work, it's only job is to show OnX while Gaia is on the UConnect screen. Works swimmingly well. Downloading maps is cake, and updating them is a few taps.
We quit using the NAV completely when it routed...
Get the Thorn adapters for the extended mirrors. That resolved the issue for us with our 8' travel trailer. Thorn Engineering, they're on eBay and there is a thread here in the forums.
The same folks that fouled the springs up probably didn't torque the control arms while the truck was on the ground. I went out and bought a bigger/longer torque wrench for my JTR. Easy enough to do.
Just remembered sliding over a fallen tree deer hunting a few weekends ago. No worries about snagging a transmission oil line on a stub of a branch. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing.
The order for some shocks for my old Ranger was fouled up, NO idea what the rear shocks should have fit. 4WP not only sent the right shocks, they never asked for the wrong ones back!? Kind of hurt my feelings that I paid $300 for a pair of shocks they didn't even want back!
Never know how it's...
$62 for a pair of the Mopar LCA's from @AllMoparParts.com that adjust camber for their 2" lift. That should be fine.
I run them on my stock height JTR, factory quality and a bargain at that price.
The adapters are available and well understood. My favorite local 4x4 shop has a great example of this kind of wheel replacement. The owner setup a blue XJ with JK Rubicon wheels, 17" alloy, for his son. I stopped the kid and told him how great I thought the combination was - the more modern...
If you're going to tow anything significant with your Jeep, you won't want a leveling kit.
A buddy at work went with the Gamechanger for his Overland Diesel, it doesn't look weird or under-tired with 35's at all to my eye. His JKUR has the same 3.5" MC lift and 35's and he's put some HARD miles...
My wife wanted a tonneau, I was meh - but it's made storing the panels far simpler.
I picked up a moving blanket at Harbor Freight. When we go on trips, it's a minute or two to remove/replace the panels depending on weather. The bag is cumbersome and unneeded.
The addition of a JTops mesh...
I'd never buy, and never have bought, a truck I wouldn't wheel. The first scratch will rub off the new.
I still remember driving the new H2 back from quail hunting after sliding down a muddy hill and riding a downed Ponderosa log with the rock rail to keep out of a creek bed. I called my...
