Don’t disrespect burnt band-aids by comparing them to Malört.![]()
This Chicago staple tastes like burnt Band-Aids and kerosene. It's readily available. These are all helpful in some way. Therefore, this will help. logics, neat. Think of it this way, it's like bringing a gun to a knife fight, except that the gun is attached to a very angry midget wearing a Toews 19 jersey and the Blackhawks just lost to Boston. And Portillo's is closed. And he drank his last Old Style.
Yeah, this won't help at all, but I do miss the finer points of Chicago. Cheers!
Malort is vile ?Don’t disrespect burnt band-aids by comparing them to Malört.
How are you all preventing door hinge rust? I am trying to get ready for our brutal Chicago winters lathered in street & road salt.![]()
Thanks, is this a recent change? I’ve read a bunch on the door hinges being a problem in the past with the Wranglers, which is the reason I ask.
Aluminum won’t rust, but it will oxidize. Instead of brown it’s white. The door hinges are aluminum.
The entire door (and tailgate) on JTs and JLs are aluminum. Also the hood on everything except Mojaves. Thanks, is this a recent change? I’ve read a bunch on the door hinges being a problem in the past with the Wranglers, which is the reason I ask.
I don’t think that will help the issue, the paint bubbles up around the edge of the hinge where it meets the door. This setup right here...
Delrin bushings, and stainless door guides.

OHHHHHH! My apologies then. Yeah, that's galvanic corrosion, (google that for more info) not much you can do about it aside from maybe putting in a super tin rubber "gasket" between the hinge and the door.I don’t think that will help the issue, the paint bubbles up around the edge of the hinge where it meets the door.
