This is the stuff we need more of here, thank you good sir!
Hopefully they didn't change wire color codes in 2023 when they added more airbags and 2024 when they changed the radio/dome lights.
Check the fuse for the USB port in center console. If that fuse is bad, could be causing issues. F102 should be the one to test with either an ohm meter or a known good fuse of equal value/amp rating. Not promising anything, but a good place to start.
MP3 320kbps is about the same quality as...
Forgot to say, any tow over 2500-3000lbs requires trailer brakes and a brake controller, that's in the owners manual. Heck even Surge brakes would be good, and they don't require a brake controller.
- People with new trucks are spoiled when towing, those new controllers can modulate the trailer...
You live in SoCal, how much better weather do you need? It's 30* and sleeting here and I changed the oil in my gravel driveway a few days ago. Man, I remember laughing when southerners thought 65* was cold and wore winter jackets, while I'm out in shorts/t-shirt.
Plot twist, they ARE releasing...
Removing safety inspections is one of the most retarded things I've ever heard of for road going vehicles. Cool you don't want a seatbelt, enjoy being a projectile, because those crash rating are only IF you wear the seatbelt.
I remember the 2a laws in AZ, they're nice.
But really, not having...
Careful, Subaru girls might think they're advertising to them now. But I do enjoy skittles!
- All kidding aside, and hate me if you want, but every gay person who's vehicle I've been either looks like a dilapidated slum hole, or is minty clean.
You didn't state whether you have an auto or manual, but I'm guessing you have the auto?
The class IV tow package (have it on my 21 Willys, really just a sport s with a combo package) and you're correct, the main additional components are: hitch, fan, alternator...and the max tow adds 4.10...
FYI, in some places if you get stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, and you're found to be using one of those devices/clips, they CAN (not will) be harder on fines/etc because of "intent". While the other method has not cause the fines/etc to be more severe.
IF you care about that stuff. 🤣
I haven't bled it yet, I want to do it while cycling the ABS pump to fully ensure all air bubbles (if they exist) are bled, but I don't have a tool to do that.
It DOES stop just fine, and tbh I never really liked how sensitive the brake pedals on newer vehicles have become. Even back in 2008...
My Tazer does it for me haha. I also use the ESS screen to gauge the aux battery health since it died the other week. Still confused how the Aux battery is bad, yet it doesn't always fail the startup test (f43 still in). I confirmed this yesterday when I turned the ESS back on to check it and...
Do you ever maintain with a charger? I was considering doing the trailer plug method since I have a 25' battery tender extension cable for my dirtbikes.
Debating getting another Aux battery, or just converting to a bigger/relocated Aux battery. Probably just swap it until I get ready to run the...
You win, I forgot about that, whoops! Damn TBI 🤷♂️
I'll try to remember to stop in after work today since I'll be driving near the dealer that (half) gave me the TSB info.
You could get one of those 7-pin adapters that go inline before the factory connector, modify the adapter harness with a relay to disconnect the HOT 12v+ when the ACC is not on with a SPDT switch, that way you can have it ignition switched OR always on for a trailer.
You NEED the Pac AmpPro (can't attest to other brands) because radios now more than ever filter out frequencies to attempt providing the most "full" sound they can with the garbage they make the speakers out of.
- Ever turn the bass up then raise the volume again? Notice how the vocals get...
