But you wouldn’t normally change an axle for a damaged seal. This fishy to me and experience tells me there is more to it than FCA cares to admit at this point.

Perhaps they already know that these leaks mean a warped or otherwise defective housing.

Before you pass judgement on going away from the JeeP, find out the failure rate of transmissions on these vehicles. This automatic is in BMW, Mercedes, Ram, JeeP, and some others as well. The German manufacturer is really well regarded throughout the world for reliable transmissions, however...

Just buy good quality diesel and you will not need additives. Per the diesel manual they are not recommended by the engine manufacturer.

Well we don’t actually know at what RPM the engine grenaded. He may well have got to 60 mph but the engine could have been failed at 40 mph for example.

Well the dealer replaced the LF wheel bearing today. Picked up the truck and then told me that the issue was not resolved. It is now with Jeep engineering. Lovely.

One glitch I found this morning is the winch speed won’t adjust down from 1550-1600; it is supposed to be able to be set at 1350. Also, the instructions say if the throttle is touched it will turn winch mode off but this doesn’t work either, the buttons are the only way to turn it off. I have...

Not me, I’ll wait until the warranty is expired then all that shit will be torn off and tuning installed.

Another possibility is that the factory pulled it for additional testing - the water booth, the dynamometer, fit and finish QC checks, etc.
