And then, although it doesn’t affect vehicles, there is the wind chill which has the night lows at -45 to -48C. My doggies spend 5 minutes to pee and right back in.
Prior gen 3.0 in my 2016 started a few times @ -35C, sitting there for a week.
I would not have wanted to risk it any lower without being plugged in however.
So, winter fuel, not plugged in, no additives (as per the manual) and it started fine. Yes, it took a while to warm up but it would on a...
Mine also does this however it only runs for a minute, and there is a relay at work every 5 seconds or so that starts the (pump?) and then shuts of for a second. Mind you it has been -30C when I drove it into the garage and shut it off. Usually coolant temp is 92-94C.
On day 2 after picking up my JT I opened the fuse box to check. At least 60% of the fuses were not seated correctly; not by much but I definitely latched them in better. This included the relays as well.
Also checked as many ground connections as I could see/reach without crawling underneath...
This is the first new vehicle I have purchased (out of about 15 new ones) that I left the dealer sticker on. It isn’t obnoxious and, for every person I recommend to them that purchases any vehicle, I get a $500 cheque. So I leave it on as a reference if someone talks to me about the Jeep, and...
FCA maintains it is a lifelong service. The German manufacturer recommends changing the trans oil with flush every 80,000 miles. It is entirely serviceable, the bottom pan must come off however. Kits also include a new pan with cooling fins in some cases.
These clutch issues have wondering if some drivers are using the clutch as a by-pass for the ESS and sit at lights in the city rocking the vehicle with the clutch to avoid using the brake, or using it hold on hills by constantly letting out to keep the vehicle from going backwards.
I have seen...
As a foreigner (Canadian) I watched this and was struck by what I perceive to be the message exactly needed at this time. No one can doubt the US is a nation divided at this point in its history. And I’m not talking Red vs Blue.
I could delve into all the politics of that opinion but I won’t...
I happened to be in a major 4x4 accessories chain store in Alberta a few days ago and saw a Warn Zeno Platinum 12k with steel line - $2460.00 CAN. $525 more for a synthetic rope.
No wonder I have not seen one mounted yet! This would be $3k CAN or roughly $ 2100.00 US for the full package. And...
I have the exact height while the vehicle & tire is off the ground - on a hoist - 32.18“. This is my Tazer tire size setting.
I don’t have the width with tire off the ground but I will re-post later with what it is on the ground.
Also, these are the only winter designated tire I could find that...
I am absolutely pleased with my stock 20” rims. I put 305/55/20 on and the truck behaves very well with these. Adjusted the size with Tazer and good to go.
I just drove in a snow storm this morning - approx 1 foot in 3 hrs - and had no problem in 2 wheeel drive. A couple of intersections were icy and I has LSD kick in for a second or 2, but overall not problems with traction at all. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A snowflake rating. Very pleased with...
