Agree 100% that's why I did GMRS for my install.
But....
The Red Rock Jeep club that runs Easter Jeep Safari still uses CB's, as such I need one. I used a hand held to get by but as I noted I'm going to volunteer so I need a better set up. RadioGuy's solution I think will work best, rather...
Thank you! This is exactly what I was after. I've been thinking of getting my Tech any way and this will open that door as well as deal with this sudo short term item on the CB side.
Ok I need a CB for EJS.
I've used a handheld in the past and it worked, only so so. But I'm volunteering as a trail guide so I need real coms. I was hoping EJS would go GMRS this year but they are not SOOOO......
Thinking either a Midland 75-822...
To be honest, I think the same thing you do. I think it’s a liability thing for the guys that don’t want to say yes.
you can mount a 12,000 pound winch and lift your truck off the ground by the nose. But no, you can’t flat tow with it.
That said if I was flat towing, I would never buy one that...
That’s kind of fun.
I run a supercharger as well and did 4.63, I did at the same time change to Dave’s tune, which I suspect is probably a more meaningful impact to the way the truck drives. But I absolutely adore the way it drives now and it was noticeable when I picked it up after dropping it...
I pinged my head around on this for six months.
I ended up putting a locker in the front.
My plan is when the LSD wears out to put a true track in the rear.
A true track will do 90% of what a locker will. But when you need that 10%…..
So the question is do you need that 10%?
For the things...
I’ve read the manual too, and that’s what it says. I personally have shifted from four low to neutral to too 2 high. I don’t know maybe 100 times and never ever once ever never never never never never shut the engine off.
Have you put the truck up on stands so the rear wheels are 100% free?? Then you can inspect it Max flex and see what if anything is going on with the driveshaft. Is the new one longer?
I know there’s gonna be a lot of hate for this note but….. the jeep automatic transmission is fabulous and one of the best pieces of machinery ever. Yeah yeah sure sure one has a problem but overall they’re extraordinarily reliable. They’re putting a ton of different vehicles on great highway...
I have the autos and they’re awesome. I don’t know about your set up and the fenders. I suspect the 8.5 would be just fine.
The air I don’t understand the usefulness of them? Or what they are for. Air them up for stiffer front sway bar? air them down for more flexibility or less impact left to...
My spacers 1.5" simply set the jeep to stock height after I had driven it some and installed a winch.
My 2.5" lift added a true 2.5" after taking out the spacers.
A 3.5" will be a big change.
Tho if your just mall crawling ya really need it?
