Even with todays plywood prices, you could still buy the material and hardware, and buy the tools needed and STILL be far less than what places are charging for these delete platforms.
You can make a platform out of a 2ft x 4ft piece of ply, but it's not going to be the entire rear seat area...
TBH, $700 is still overpriced. Better than Goose Gear, but GG is plain ripping people off. They found something that a lot of people get intimidated when looking at it and think it's harder to do than it actually is, and they've ran with it.
I know not everyone is savvy with tools, but you can...
Be sure to update on how fitment goes with this. It's been something I've been thinking about for the ecoD, but it's already packed in there so concerned about fitment.
The Genesis system is nice but overpriced. You can build a better system for less, and if something dies you don't have to replace the entire system. I don't know your knowledge level, so I'll break it down for everyone.
Stick with AGM for your vehicle battery. Just get whatever is a factory...
I use them on pretty much anything, even if it doesn't need to be water tight. I really like the ones I linked, they are a little thicker but still shrink really well, but I do notice some discoloration. Sometimes they look shiny, sometimes they look matte.
I've also started using solder first...
This forum is full of know-it-alls that can't help but regurgitate their "factual" opinions. Some threads remind me of stubborn adolescent teens who just have to get the last word in.
And I'll admit, I'm guilty of some of it, but I also try to shut up after a couple replies. Give my .02c and...
Yeah sorry, not a good marketing pitch. The dusting of snow in your video isn't even worth the effort, it'll blow off before I even leave the driveway.
This wont work for those of us that get real snow. Theres 8 inches sitting on my truck right now.
I wish people would get ticketed for that. Sure, soft fluffy snow on the roof doesn't pose much of a risk except for maybe causing some visibility issues for folks behind you, but when that shit freezes and now you have large chunks of ice flying up in the air and at other traffic, thats a...
I have Rokbloks and they are starting to look this as well. I was going to get them redone, but I think I'll redraw the brackets in Fusion and have em cut out of alum.
I wish companies would stop selling products like this out of steel knowing that they will be subject to getting blasted with...
With todays distributer-less timing most modern N/A tuning has enough self correction to adjust for all fuel grades. You'll lose performance, but they'll run fine.
I haven't been picking it apart, I was actually defending it earlier in this thread, I was simply stating overall I feel the 5.7 would be a more reliable option with less to go wrong.
Not always practical. We air down when we can, but if I'm doing 5 miles down a dirt road, to then do 30 miles down asphalt, to another 5 miles of dirt etc., I'm not going to stop to air up and down multiple times. Nothing wrong with trying to find the best overall combination.
This is on my list to do. Especially now that the snow is back.
The only thing I've really done lately is pulled the tent off and removed the drawers so I can start working on the new cap. I also tossed 3 of the OEM wheels/tires into the bed to try and get some weight back there again. So far...
