I put zero stock into much of anything CR says about Jeep, really: CR has had an anti-Jeep axe to grind for as long as I can remember. My Jeep of 16 years was no worse than my Toyota...
Get the Jeep.
My head is spinning here: is that Mojave StingGrey....or Gator? Sometimes so hard to tell.
And why does it look in one photo that you have a color-matched hard top, then in others that it’s black? Did you change tops or is this just more optical illusion?
No matter..all excellent photos...
So...what/who is this wretched local dealership that NO ONE should ever use?
Every last lousy/moronic dealership should be called out for the world to see.
I’m sorry to hear about this ongoing stuff. I’d be willing to bet the Magnuson guys are aware of all this and they’re a captive audience here.
So many manufacturers of things these days are way behind on getting questions answered...so hang in there!!
You can build the hell out of anything....and destroy it. Your Jeep will take care of you...if you take care of it.
As others here have already said: go easy on the gas, pick your lines accordingly, ask yourself about your exit strategy before you commit to the drop-in or the climb...and be...
An excellent point, sir! My comment did indeed leave something to wonder and I apologize for not being clear.
I suppose I was just suggesting any rental car I've had has been fair game....anything will fly if you put enough thrust behind it.
It's a joke, man...pickin' up on some angry tone....please do relax.
The meaning is that in 16 years, as hard as I tried, I got my YJ stuck once. I wheeled it everywhere and thru everything--from San Diego to Minneapolis, down to Jax, FL and over every kind of terrain. Snow, mud, sand, water...
Plenty of other dealerships have upheld the TSB on Jeeps with aftermarket tires, wheels, suspension parts and lift kits.
1) Find a different dealer to do this work.
2) Give the flunky dealership zero scores on the survey.
I, too, am seriously debating the merits of a Mojave winch.
The current plan for my Mohave is to run it from Baja to Tuk....and I keep thinking with only one (1) use, the ROI of the winch is likely complete.
I like the Mopar Steel, only because it looks cool. Plenty of other stubbies out...
