I went with Steersmarts and I have a Dana aftermarket diff cover. I had previously shaved down the top of the diff cover - took about 1/4” off my of a fin to clear my Rusty’s Trackbar (which I don’t recommend - the heim joint failed in 33,000 miles). Seems to be fine but I have not had a chance...
I think it’s weight and tire inflation. I run D Rated Mickey Thompson 37x12.50 tires at 28psi. My Rubicon has steel bumpers, winch, topper, slide out, rock rails etc, running 5,800lbs and it feels well planted in snow. If it’s real deep I’ll run the rear locker in 4h (Tazer - mini). I must admit...
Found a bad heim joint in the Rusty’s front track bar. I remember when I installed this - being skeptical that this would hold up. Replaced the heim for now but probably going to a different manufacturer.
The effort for the more aggressive dual friction clutch is I have is increased. I frankly don’t remember how soft/easy it was before. Not a huge deal but the less aggressive CF is supposed to have stock feel - can’t confirm this since I haven’t driven one.
I could smell clutch when backing a...
I understand the sentiment but it doesn’t bother me too much in the grand scheme. It is likely a handicap for the “Big 3” US automakers but probably not impossible to overcome. Contracts are always negotiable. The market will ultimately decide since there are plenty of non-union players. If...
Got it installed. Took me over 6 hours. Probably shouldn’t taken so long but spent time looking for tools, broke my grease gun and rigged it up so I could grease the joints. Stock drag link and tie rods were smoked - flipping all over the place at 34,000 miles. Got a crooked steering wheel. Over...
I added a 2” Rusty’s advanced lift kit, with longer bump stops and kept the leveling kit. Started getting rub on the sway bar up front under flex and still kisses the flares under flex off road - attribute this to more flex.
