Seeing how its a truck, I personally would never run a passenger car tire on it. Load C are already soft. Just lower the tire pressure a little. I run 33-35 psi in the stock rubicon tires on my JT. Very comfy. My JL has load D 35"s and they ride just as nice as the stock 33"s. I plan on putting...
Its winch ready. You take off the bumper, install a winch plate, remove the center top cover plate then install the winch.
Warn EVO 12-S fit no problem. I went with Barns 4WD winch plate. One of the cheapest I could find that was still American made. $140.
Yeah, my wife is running 35" AT3's on her JL Rubicon. The 4.10's do well with 35's. Defiantly like the tire. They are borderline a "hybrid" tire like the R/T Trail. I'm wanting something slightly more aggressive than the AT3 for my diesel JT Rubicon, and the Toyo R/T Trail's fit the bill since...
Im glad we arent. There are other forums like that. Like JeepForum for example. But If you click on the arrow by your profile on the header (top right), there is a wrangler forum tab/shortcut.
The Bestop retractable could work with the hardtop. But it would have to be removed whenever the freedom panels were re-installed. I modified one to work with the soft top.
Well, the mopar 2” lift lower control arms did exactly what I was hoping for. I installed a set of 1.5” Clayton diesel springs two weeks ago. I have since experienced a slight vibration/shimmy between 65 and 75. Sometimes 80. The MOPAR lower control arms fixed all of that. Well worth the $87...
If insurance is paying. Do not buy used. Here is one for textured black. https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/hardtop-kit-gladiator-jt/textured-black?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=19480551484&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwsrFBhD6ARIsAPnUFD1qJ6xVlkkMrzcYh6FZZXlztNIzcm5Lyvy7YQDGLW_pswLl67aMefgaAhbPEALw_wcB
I thought you were crazy and I didn’t believe you. As soon as I got home I weighed a new MOPAR 2” control arm and a OEM Rubicon control arm. I was surprised with the results lol.
Thats like saying you changed your bed frame but not your mattress and now your bed is more comfortable. The mattress is still the same. What you experienced is what's called a placebo.
This was originally one of my goals when I got my Hydro Blue JT. But I went a different route. I replaced the red dash with one from a 4Xe JL. Its black leather with blue stitching. Its hard to capture in pictures. It looks better in person. Im very happy with it.
Did you get the bed liner installed? If so, I would go back to them and make them fix it. I used to work at bed liner shop (Line-X). That low quality of work is unacceptable. You will need new hardware as well due to the liner filling in the bit opening, which they should provide you.
Also, from what I've experienced. The bushings on the 2" mopar lower control arms look to be similar to what you would find on Claytons Overland+ control arms and even Metalcloak's Duroflex control arms. I know there might be some push back on that statement, so... SIMILAR not identical.
Yup I understand and do agree with that. My TJ is on a Clayton long arm. 3 link front, triangulated rear. 3.5" triple rate Rock Krawler springs. 35" Nittos, dirty life bead locks and it'll cruise 80+ with one finger on the wheel no problem, zero bump steer or wobble. Rides great for a short...
🤷‍♂️
I installed them at ride height and torqued them to German spec, "gutentight". When converted over is about 3-4 ugga duggas from the 1/2" impact. Zero issues.
