Maybe the lights were a higher priority.... I mean if it came on the Heep why not roll with it haha.
Edit: I know not everyone looks at things the same way or has the same purpose in life. Like I said in the beginning, just my .02. You go with your pointy bumper and have at it man. Not here to...
Hang on there cowboy. I'm not sure what the DV8 rear skid plate is actually skid plating but it should in no way interfere with your shit! If it does then ditch it.
Your sway bars should be a couple of degrees up, and nothing should interfere with anything on your axle. HTH
It's fine, as long as it has a reasonable top plate for the winch built into it. 1/4" or so at least. My point was blocking airflow. It's better to put the winch in-between the frame rails than on top of the bumper for two reasons.
#1 pulling the vehicle between the rails is less stress overall...
Yup, same here. XJ is Jeep, JT is truck or Jeep truck, and her Renegade is car or whatever. My uncle named his cars, Gertrude and other similar names but it was old projects or whatever. I never really thought about naming a 1 yr old vehicle.
I'll bite and give my .02 lol. Maybe it is custom? It's not really the most handsome bumper I've ever seen, BUT looks to be well made from outward appearances. I don't really get the pointy part, but I run a stubby so.... There is no fairlead hole, so it has no internal winch plate but it looks...
I finally got the Body Armor one from quadratec. The first one never made it to me, Fedex returned stating it was damaged. Driver must have run over it. Second one made it but the box was barely hanging on.
WOW, what timing!! I was just going to do a search about this very thing and your thread popped up. Thanks for the great info Mike. I found if I just let off the brake and use the parking brake it goes off also.
Thanks, yeah I doubt it would get turned on while winching since it is in the back, but wanted only 1 to be able to power up at a time. If I add an air tank it could kick on while winching otherwise.
