Add to that: You will have also lost money in the trade-in process.
I tow a 3,500 lb trailer (typical loaded weight) with my manual transmission JTR and it's not horrible but certainly not great. I love the short first gear for tow/haul though.
5,200 lb unloaded? I wouldn't do it with the...
Exactly. If this data is going to be useful, need to consider only outright buys, no trade-ins. With trades, water is muddied: what looks like a great deal on the Gladiator could be masked by a bad value for the trade-in).
The drips into the cabin used to annoy me too (including on the past JK) but now I just get into the cab quicker and close the door, and from there the experience is still far better than it is in my wife's drip-free mini van.
Looks like what's installed onto the protruding ends of bolts to prevent scrapes/injuries. There are a handful of these on the inside of my cargo trailer, where bolts from the door hinges and latches come through.
I've also seen these used as caps on antenna cables, to prevent plugs or sockets...
I really enjoyed my complimentary subscription while I had it, and listened to it often. Didn't renew. I sometimes miss it, but am doing okay without. For $10/month I think it's a very good deal - you get a lot of variety and content for that, and I think it beats broadcast radio by far...
Similar scenario here - went from a Ram 1500 with 5.7L Hemi (it had the ZF 8HP70 transmission I think) - then went to Gladiator, manual with 3.6L V6 Pentastar. Towing a 3,300 lb trailer. Night and day. Ram had power to spare, clear winner. I knew that going into it when I traded it for the...
5 shelf units, not very heavy but just bulky. The one on the far left side is resting on the bed rail and lashed to the others. Used 2x4s in the bed slots to raise everything to clear the wheel wells, which allowed 3 units to fit side by side. More tow straps were used, not visible.
I can squeeze 24 mpg out of mine in the right conditions but in real world driving I can't sustain that, and it averages back to about 18 mpg. Manual transmission Rubi, stock, Falken M/T 33s.
In anticipation of my original tires needing replaced within the next year or two I'm interested in buying a set of low mile take-off tires from someone who's upgrading after purchasing. Maine/NH/Mass preferred. Specifically interested in a 33 inch (LT285/70R17) Falken M/T or A/T.
Not sure what the claimed HP/torque increases are, but my guess is they're so small you won't notice them. Better purpose for CAI might be to hear the motor better.
Specifically what tire is it? What's the load range spec? I've run Load Range D on a JK/JKU and it was find under normal driving but harsh on bumps. I wouldn't even consider Load Range E for a light duty Jeep.
Steering wheel lock seems like a ridiculously outdated and highly dangerous feature. Brakes and steering are arguably the most two important safety controls and both would benefit from always being available, even if it means with added effort (if power assist is lost).
What happens if you have...
Max Tow has incremental advantages but in the end you're still pulling with the same motor - a 3.6L V6 with only 260 lb ft of torque.
That's a small number for towing 3,500 lb, and a really small number for towing 7,000.
