That bothers me less than the people who pull out in front of me when pulling a trailer or cut in front of me and then slam on the brakes. I canāt stand pulling heavy trailers in rush hour traffic because it happens way too often.
Itās a pain running the back up lights to the aux switches, but Iām glad I did. Mine are really bright and I didnāt want to be blinding people in parking lots. I also did most of the wiring on my work bench. I just spent forever with zip ties running it with the factory wiring to look more OEM...
There was never a time when anyone liked the 3.7l. The only thing it wasnāt terrible in was 6 speed KJs. Itās not like it was good 20 yrs ago or in different applications. The Toyota 3.5l V6 is pretty great in Camrys, but it was awful in the Tacoma. It never even had that.
Thatās a good question. Iāve thought about it before but never done it because itās expensive and I donāt want to waste several hundred dollars on something with marginal results.
I had a dream last night that I bought my 2004 4.7l WJ back. I was so happy. Somehow it just sat for 17 yrs after I traded it in on my 2008 JKU Rubicon and was in the same shape I left it. I loved that Jeep, but I definitely blame this thread. š
I hadnāt thought much about it in years. If I...
I love dogs, mine is spoiled, but I wouldnāt sweat it. My dog is never cold in the back seat. Maybe itās more of a problem with football sized dogs.
The 3.8l was a proven, long lasting engine well before it went into the JK. The problem was power to weight ratio. Even on the stock 32s, 4.10s and a 6 speed manual, my JKU Rubicon was a dog. The 2 door base model manuals with 3.73s on the stock tiny tires were actually surprisingly fun to drive.
On the subject of the 3.7l, why would anyone want it? It was a bad engine back in the day and even underpowered on lighter vehicles. I remember driving a KK from Atlanta to Asheville and it was struggling to maintain interstate speed with a headwind. The 3.7l sounded bad and idled rough and was...
With as loud as mine is with my hard top and the fact that I canāt tell any difference in hwy wind noise with the soft tops Iāve driven, I often wish Iād purchased a soft top. Iāll buy a soft top eventually. I need to pay more attention to deals near me when they pop up. The soft tops are...
I loved my 4.7l WJ. They get a bad rep because of the people who own them now. They buy from buyer pay here and donāt change the oil. There were tons of them with 300k+ miles on them. Just change the oil regularly. Preferably with synthetic. Good sounding engine too.
My bumper lights have that feature. I used the aux switches and didnāt hook that wire up. My headlights have halos. Thatās enough. Plus my lights are āfor offroad use onlyā.
