Yeah, I'm still waiting for a vendor like Tuffy to offer a heavy STEEL lockable box that fits under the rear seats and bolts down just like the factory polymer does.
I once had a fairly sizable Tuffy lock box in my old 2001 Wrangler. It essentially replaced the rear seat and had a lockable...
Solid advice: if some slapnutz sneezes or coughs on your JT, whatever you do DO NOT rub Purell on it in attempting to disinfect that area. :(
Purell will kill the cooties for sure, but it'll also remove the paint.
Good gawd ... Eeeck! :puke:
My new, outta-da-box Smartliner was solid black, not washed out like that.
Only two options there: refund or replacement.
Yeah, like a chameleon Gator. :like:
Still, it's a more trail-worthy look than that silly Gobi-sandy color.
That's more of a beachy spring-break thing.
After a couple weeks of experience with the SmartLiner, there's been no slipping or sliding of anything put on it. The surface is very 'grippy' in that respect. I also think the way the liner's 'lip' flares up against the edges of the bed is a good feature, in the event of any liquid spillage...
I'm looking at these contoured steel front & rear bolt-on steps from Rough Country for my Rubicon:
https://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-gladiator-contoured-steps-90762.html?find=2020-jeep-gladiator-jt-4wd-379105
Has anyone purchased and attached these steps?
If so, how is the quality and...
The liner's definitely on the thick side of rubbery, so I'd venture to answer 'yes,' in that it provides protection from contact with a hard cold metal bed.
However, I'd also recommend using a 'comforter'-type blanket on top of the liner for the dog(s) to sit on both for softness and some...
Yep, the lip should curl up a bit.
I got my Smartliner about 10 days ago. Unboxed it and then rolled it out flat, anchoring the corners with logs to keep it flat inside a warm house until it wasn't wanting to curl up anymore.
Installed it in the bed on Monday and the fit was perfect. I have...
Just took another look at the Amazon link for the Smartliner mat for the 2020 Gladiator in my first post above (#69).
The description given says:
So this unit is intended to fit the bed either with or without the factory spray-on?
Thanks for pointing that out ... I DO have the spray-in bed liner.
Would trimming help? And if so, how much could you trim off either end of the Smartliner to still a ensure a non-gappy fitment?
I'm looking at the Smartliner too right now ... model K0459.

How's fitment in the bed? Are there gaps? One review I saw suggested that the liner was off by 1.5" or so.
Sorta similar with me, .... in that before ordering I wanted to see a Gator and a Gobi unit in person, just to be sure which color I liked better.
Kept an eye on several FCA dealerships in this area and in early December one of them got in both Gator and Gobi Sports. Fortunately it was a...
No question Gator green clear-coat is a rare color, but the testosterone it inspires is high.
Just sayin' ...
With mine, I opted to pay extra for the body-color matching roof & fenders in order to achieve an even rarer 'mono-color' look.
I've gotten a lot of smiles and thumbs-up, and even...
