Huh? Are Jeep workers on a union-mandated slo-down?
My dealer placed the order for my most awesome Gator Rubi around 12/13/19, and it hit my dealer's lot (along with two other Sport S Glads) on Monday 1/13/20. So that's, what? - a little over 4 weeks?
Probably a wise move.
There's nothing...
I suppose I could order them now anyway, but just wait til the spring or early summer for warmer temps to attach them. The highs here this week will barely hit 20-degs.
Maybe, when ordering, I can specify wanting the 'big boy' adhesive sent along so I don't have to chase it down later under...
Thanks.
Well, if I ordered them today, would they come with the new adhesive or the old weaker stuff? I'd want to install it right the first time.
No reports of the MOPAR headliners falling off, not that I've seen anyway.
I opted to not get the Mopar headliners for my Rubi, and am considering the Hotheads.
However, I don't want to buy a pricey aftermarket brand if it has durability issues staying attached, regardless of weather temps/environmental conditions.
So any more recent users experiences with the...
Rubi with the Wildpeak ATs ...
What cold psi are you guys airing the Wildpeaks to for driving on city streets and freeways - basically around town, not off-roading?
My sales guy said cold 38lbs psi was 'optimum' for both on- and off-road usage.
But after driving for a while, where the...
Yep, anything over $31K is taking a major hosing without Vaseline, ... unless you've got the discretionary 'play money' of a Bloomberg, a Trump, or a Cuban. :surprised:
Dude, there's no denying you got hosed hard on the doc & title/registration fees. That's a given.
Where your dealer can make it up to you for that lack of love is by giving you below-EP pricing on the NO-deductible version of the 5-yr MaxCare warranty Plan.
That way, after the third year of...
That's exactly what Dodge/FCA did with the Hellcats. (Ask me how I know. ;) )
First year was 2015, and the Hellcat Challengers only trickled out amid high demand from the muscle-car crowd who were excited by the concept of a 700+ horsepower 'street-legal' ride combined with its somewhat...
Not only on the doc fee, but also on the title/registration paperwork. I paid $20.
Even still, I sure want his tax.
In the county where I bought mine, it's 7.25% on the vehicle's purchase price (+ doc fees).
Frickin' Commies.
I hear ya.
Actually I wasn't that impressed with the Overland after driving one.
I did test-drive all three trim levels and specifically drove two different Rubis on my dealers lot. One had the Mudders, the other the ATs.
My strategy was always to try to get into the Rubi trim (though not...
Just checked my build sheet. You're right. Mine says, 'ABR - Trailer Tow Package.'
The way it was explained to me was, because of the weight, suspension, etc., that comes standard on the Rubicon, the ABR T.T. Package gives you the same Max Tow set-up as you can order on the Sport S.
Or, ... you could take a lesson from ol' Bill Shatner and learn to be The Negotiator.
Demand 6% under Employee Pricing as an opener. :punch:
If the sales dude or dudette blinks, be prepared to walk. ;)
The context was trading up for reliability with a trade-in vehicle (a low mileage Glad) that still retains some significant value.
You're assuming the primary use is off-roading.
Yeah, but a lot those pre-owned Glads will see use as trade-ins on new 2022-2023 Taco TRD 4x4 ORs that will have the Tundra axles, drivetrain, and suspension system. Basically a 'mid-size Tundra' with Toyota reliability.
In a couple of years you'll be able to buy a certified pre-owned Gladiator with reasonable mileage, which has had enough warranty service to get all the bugs and glitches worked out. ;)
