I think 2021 order books are closed if the posts I've read today are true. There will be a few months I'm assuming for them to finish up the trucks for people like me that have been waiting since June and July.
If they were on a break they would've announced it most likely.
My money is on the FCA window sticker system being down. I've seen multiple reports of people getting their Jeeps delivered to dealerships without the window sticker showing up online.
So far Jeep has made a bunch of changes to the JL online configurator (mostly removing colors and upcharging a few options such as Gecko and getting rid of floor mats, etc).
Zero changes to the Gladiator configurator yet.....wondering if it's going to take a week or two for the changes to...
It seems like the people who complain about him not being responsive are the folks asking about trade-ins, installing aftermarket/Mopar add ons at the dealer and/or asking a million questions about stuff that can be answered elsewhere.
I don't think he's the best option for people that don't...
Jeep is teasing an Xtreme Recon package for the Willys JL on twitter
Wonder if this will make its way over to the Gladiator side of the house? Supposedly this is a 2022 model being teased by Jeep directly. At 4fest.
Jeep pulled a bunch of colors from the JL online configurator sometime last night. Snazzberry, Granite and HellaYella are gone. Gecko went up by $100.
Wondering if the Gladiator is going to follow? Is Jeep starting to cut off options as they wind down 2021 MY? Them pulling these colors...
Could be awhile, mine was like that for over a month and then it regressed back to scheduling at some point. It's back in D1 now though :)
At this point your dealer should be able to give you a tenative ship date that may or may not happen.
You also have to factor in the abundance of colleges pushing useless liberal arts type degrees. They are selling young kids a dream that is about as realistic as a 40 acre spread in NYC. Academia needs some serious reform and tech colleges that teach actually useful skills should be given...
Love to hear it!! I will be making almost the same exact drive you are, plus or minus a few hours (I'm in south central Wisconsin).
I'm still on the fence about flying or driving. Ohare has much cheaper flights than MKE but I would have to factor in the $40 bus ticket from Madison to Ohare...
I can't figure it out either. Seems like Crypto is mainly made for the JL crowd and that the "Show Gladiators" function is somewhat of an afterthought and it only gets the ~24 hour option.
Even before the Great Inventory Shortage (tm) used Gladiators weren't that hot a deal. Saving maybe 4 grand to sit in a pre-farted seat? Hard pass.
As I've mentioned before my local CDJRs are notorious for jacking up the prices on used inventory, some of their asking prices are/were just...
Right now Carvana and Vroom are high on VC funding so they can overpay for used cars. At some point they are going to collapse spectactularly. While its a good idea, I question their long term viability.
I don't think many people outside this forum know or care about Max Tow. There's a reason why dealers were stocking very few Max Tow's on their lots (before the Great Inventory Shortage).
