Daniel gave me a 9/15 ship date a couple weeks ago, I am almost too scared to check and see if it got delayed like @VolatileA's did.
Another Sport build showed up in the order tracker this morning amid the sea of Mojaves and Rubicons which gives me hope for mine. One more day until my ship...
Checked with Jeep chat today. "Your build is scheduled and will enter production soon"
I was given a build date of 9/15 (so two more days to go) on August 31. Ordered via Gupton on 7.27. Base non-Max Tow Sport with only options being hard top, automatic, sting gray and bedliner.
One of my local dealers got 2 base Willys Sports in a few weeks ago. One black and one firecracker red. Most likely long gone but they looked like dealer lot orders which was kind of unusual. Auto, hardtop and tow package were the only options.
I want to say they listed at MSRP but this...
The base Sport has:
(A) no power windows or locks
(B) different gauge cluser with analog gauges for the temperature and fuel tank level functions. The Sport S and up get a fully digital one.
(C) steel wheels instead of aluminum. I personally like the black steelies and would leave them on the...
Does anyone know if Gupton Jeeps get shipped directly from the Toledo plant via truck? It looks like they are outside the 250 mile radius for local truck deliveries from the factory but was wondering given their volume if they get trucks direct versus having to wait on rail cars.
I ordered a base Sport with the only options being hard top, automatic, tow package, bedliner and aux switches. Ordered from Gupton.
7/27 order
8/27 moved to D1 status (as per Daniel at Gupton)
Tenative ship date of 9/15 (again from Daniel).
Jeep Chat keeps waffling between "all parts are...
From what I've read the estimated ship date is usually when it is actually built. Build sheet and and window sticker won't populate until that point. I'm in the same boat as well.
I had one Jeep Chat rep 2 weeks ago tell me "all parts have been accounted for and vehicle will begin production status soon"
Meanwhile I checked again on Friday and got "parts are now being scheduled for your vehicle and the build process will start shortly". A bit more prodding and the rep...
How they actually prioritize orders is anybody's guess, the observations in these threads are just gleaned from people's experiences in general. It makes complete logical sense for them to prioritize higher end builds in this climate and I don't blame them at all. Profit drives the decisions...
And they never reject lower spec builds, it just takes a bit longer. So what if it's a few more weeks for your poverty spec build, if the company makes more profit on the loaded Mojaves and Rubis then it's completely normal and expected for them to do so.
I also think choice of dealer matters...
Bought it 2 years ago in Colorado. it's a 38 foot Blue Bird AARE with an 8.3 Cummins. Painted it, ripped out the seats and completely gutted it. It's still being finished out inside but i have dual roof AC units, a 3500w generator and a full plumbing system (100 gallon fresh, 75 grey and 45...
Lots of those are probably fleet orders. Ford most likely prioritizes customer and dealer orders over the fleet stuff, hence why the majority of these trucks are white.
