Welcome!
I don't think I've posted mine in this thread before. Picked it up at the end of October. Side tent doors, no windows. Slate grey tent color. Goes great with the Sting Grey on the JT.
Lift is a 2.5" Clayton Ride Right with the optional HD rear springs and a 1" terraflex spacer on...
Not him but I have the same lift. I did the optional HD triple rate rear coil spring upgrade plus I kept a Teraflex 1" spacer on the front coils. Here's how mine sits on 35x10.5x17 Kenda Klever RT's. Tbh I think this lift looks perfect with 35s (mine aren't true 35s, probably closer to...
I'm curious to see if the Hurricane becomes the new standard powerplant replacing the old 3.6 or if it becomes an expensive option.
One thing I have heard mentioned is that Stellantis was going to offer the Hurricane in different output levels so maybe a detuned version for the base model JTs...
Installed the Clayton Ride Right 2.5" on my JT over the weekend. Install went very smoothly!
I went with the optional triple rate HD rear coils as well as retaining the 1" Teraflex spacer in the front and am super pleased with the results! For shocks I went with Bilstein 5100.
This lift is...
Canada factory orders take far longer than US builds. That's just the reality based on what I've seen here and on the JL sister forum. Some people were waiting 14 months for 2 door JL builds with weird options.
They work with all the big reputable lenders. They set me up with Chase at a little over 3% last year. Of course the rates are different now but that gives you an idea of how competitive they are. It's worth it for the extra 1% off the OTD price.
The main one is the gas struts located on the outside of the camper. With the V2 they're located insite the assembly so they aren't visible when the camper is closed up.
They also have a newer improved hinge design on the V2s but GFC did a program where they upgraded the hinges on most of the...
this. can't tell you how many people immediately slap on 37s and large tires and then hate how it drives. I took my base Sport wheeling a few times last fall in the weeks after I got it. After that I knew I would be happy with skinny 35s and wait on a lift.
Also, should've gotten Max Tow...
That's a V1 GFC....they made a number of improvements in the V2 generation which is currently being made now.
Also the year backorder wait is an exaggeration....I am picking mine up in just under a month from order.
I'm picking up my GFC at the end of the month. No front or rear windows but I did get the optional side doors on the tent portion.
Pretty excited! Not looking forward to losing the ability to remove my main top but I am sick of dealing with tonneau covers and miss the topper I had on my old...
The Overland is by far the slowest selling Gladiator trim. Dealers by me only take them if nothing else is in the dealer order banks. Otherwise they sit on the lots for long periods of time.
Yes, Cold Weather package is a must. You can get heated seats aftermarket but the OEM heated steering wheel is well worth it.
Most dealers by me will order the cold weather package on just about everything.
I think it's just that people caught on just how crappy dealer work is....all the ones by me are short so many technicians.
If you're a qualified mechanic with a good resume most dealerships are gonna be the lowest tier of employer out there....
Yawn, its them confirming what we already knew after months of conjecture.
Wake me up when the Hurricane I6 shows up in the JT lineup. Wondering if it will be MY 2023 or 2024.
Mine was a late 2021 with sold order protection so all these numbers are from July of 2021. Pretty much every option, destination charge and other fees have increased over the last year so YMMV.
With Gupton discount and the Tread Lightly control # I was at $37,094. Doc fee at the time was...
