It sounds like they get slammed on the weekends. I did my pickup on a Wednesday and there were still 3 other people getting their Jeeps at the same time. Can't even imagine what it's like on a Saturday.
I run 35s on a base Sport with 3.73s and even then I'm fine. Still hits 8th gear on flat land and my speedometer hasn't even been calibrated yet. However if I ever did 37 inch tires then yes Max Tow would absolutely be needed.
@ShadowsPapa Daniel is off on Wednesdays, fyi. He doesn't reply to anything on those days.
As you've outlined, Gupton isn't the best at trade in values. I realized this and sold my prior truck via private party because of this. Got a couple grand more but the only way it worked was me...
Northridge must've had them in stock. Quadratec said they drop ship directly from Rock Hard. Mine are the angled-up variant.
Hopefully third week of May is just a worse case scenario.
Ordered mine Feburary 26 through Quadratec. Just checked and they said to expect the sliders shipped by the third week of MAY :crying:
If anyone is even thinking of getting these I would order asap.
There's a number of reasons as to why Gupton can do things the way they do. They only have a few sales people and a small location in a low CoL area so their overhead is probably lower than most dealerships. I'm not entirely sure this sales model can sustain a larger operation, but who knows...
Base Sports and diesels take awhile to get built. My base Sport was ordered at the end of July 2021 and it didn't arrive at Gupton until late October.
But with shipping right now being the way it is, even loaded ones that get build in under a month sit along with the others. Trying to...
Jeep Chat ETAs are notoriously inaccurate. I've reached out to them multiple times in one day and got different ranges.
IDK why Stellantis even bothers offering the service if they're next to useless. Dealers have the ability to track orders but with the amount of business Gupton does I...
Any dealer that is intentionally misleading about the OTD price and does add-ons at those kinds of markups can shove it. I wouldn't feel bad about wasting their time but I also have zero desire to give those places any kind of business.
My local dealers seem to be perfectly happy ordering at MSRP + addons and telling everyone else to kick rocks.
Gupton seems to operate on the premis that low overhead + Stellantis volume bonuses earn them revenue. So moving hundreds of JL/JTs every month they're probably doing better than...
Part of the reason for the price increase on the 2022s is the switch from the 5" radio to the 7" as the standard feature. That being said, if you build my 2021 base Sport now its a solid $2k more.
Yeah, I drove 6 hours to get mine and would gladly drive twice the distance, especially given the prices that nearby CDJRs want for these Gladiators....
Renee usually contacts you when they are ready. For mine it took a few days after delivery to get the PDI done and they also make a strong effort to complete most of the sale paperwork before you arrive.
Also like others said it also depends on what kind of a backlog they are working with atm.
Yeah, auto manufacturers get the highest profit margins from the options and upper spec trim levels.
People assume that because of the chip shortage they will crank out Sports left and right. That hasn't been the case at all, based on what me and other Sport order guys have gone through. We...
If it's going to California it's actually going to be on a train. Anything over 250 miles or so from Toledo gets the same transport method.
Jeep likes to wait until they can fill out entire railcars so that is one reason why train shipments take longer than truckload.
Rubicons and Mojaves seem to be built fairly quickly. However based on my months of watching they seem to build the diesels in batches. So it's a toss up.
I ordered a base Sport and it took forever. Ordered July 27 and didn't get it for pickup until the end of October.
