I’m in the same category.
I’m not expecting this thing till October with any luck. In the meantime I have a Rubi susp. & Rubi rims/tyres at the ready in the basement to make my Overcon :-)
Hahahahaha your being too nice!
Remember “Brenda” and the gang are getting paid to be bothered. I’d rather be engaged in conversation than just staring at my phone or screen ,stuck in some cubicle.
Funny thing is ... I had the same thought, hahahahaha :-)
I purchased this for future use. Mostly for
insect deflection, see if it helps with the occasional gravel. Plus it looks neat and chunky....hopefully not clunky or off it comes.
I did see one in person and it looked good, it was on a Gladiator.
Can’t agree more. It just seems that this gets discussed a lot. Just curious about the Gorilla glass option.
I’ve owned cars of all types for over 35 yrs.
I’ve never had to repair or replace a windshield except for a factory defect on my Grand Cherokee. It had areas of cloudiness
caught...
Thinking ahead. I’ve read a lot about the Jeeps ability to crack it’s windshield by virtue of its upright stance. (It’s what makes it a Jeep!)
Seeing that a lot of peeps can go through 3 replacements depending on the terrain they take their rigs and some of our country’s crappy roads just...
Excellent stuff Cowboy! I remember my grandpa doing these same scenarios. I also remember him
“cleaning” an old V8 Chevy’s innards with kerosene before he changed the oil again and then again to get the dirt and sludge out. It was his truck that would take him back and forth to the mill. It...
18 footer. I’d prolly keep an eye the weather
Tops off, front window down, padding on the painted surfaces. Proper tie down straps.
Leading edge over the hood. Go fer it!
Hehehe
Or just have it delivered :-)
Impressed with the Gladiator payload....
Ummm yeah about removing it.
I’d suggest you find a friend with a back hoe
or small Bobcat. Wrap that bad boy rock& pallet with heavy duty cargo net and hoist it straight up and out. Any moving that sideways WILL tear up that bed liner/paint.
Good luck!
I see that now, it’s the Mopar vehicle from the car shows. Not something I’ll want because as stated.... be dragging on the ground when ya hit the steep angles.
Not knowing exactly your model, most have
3 or 4 clamps that grab around the side rail.
The clamps are drawn together with a bolt.
As was said look for daylight, loosen the clamps. Scoot the cover where it needs to be. Retighten the clamps.
Good luck
As of this a.m. we have a VIN!
It’s currently in “D” status.
The very courteous Brenda on Jeep chat gave me the details.
I need to get on a computer and fill out that tracking form Jay put together. Can’t do on an IPhone very well.
Hopefully...not too many “hell” status bumps.
First world...
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads.
Go on a adventure with the kids today!
I’ll be detailing my Dads truck.
He’s 83. It’s been looking sad. So gonna spruce up his old F150.
Enjoy
Mike relayed to me via the mechanic that installed his 2” lift that...
He believes the Rubi is 1” higher than stock Overland.
I wanted them for the way it (Rubicon) rides and my wish to run a more aggressive tyre.
Hats off to “no1marine”.
Pleasure meeting Mike today. A true car guy!
He hooked me up with his slightly used
(11miles) Heheheh, Rubi suspension.
His Rubicon is awesome looking lifted.
Best of luck with it Mike. Look forward to meeting up with you again when I collect my Sting Overland. The...
