I took my order sheet and copied the contact information off of it and typed it into word, so it matches their database. I added the VIN, and when I contact chat just do a copy paste.
And when they tell you the status, ask for the code. They may just give an English description. So I will...
I don't disagree that Wrangler pickup is fitting, but there are quite a few differences between the two. The cab behind the front seats is completely new. The cab on the outside is completely different as well.
The big noticeable difference are the axles. JL Sport and Sahara have d30 front/d35...
It's a couple hours away if the Bridge is down :)
I didn't realize you were that close. I'll give Maxx a call. I don't have the rig yet, it's in transit to the dealer so a good time to start lining things up.
You guys hooked me up with a Prorock axle for my JKU a few years back. Helped me out...
At at guess I can think of two possible reasons why the windows should be removed first.
One is it depends on how soft and pliable the top is when you are putting it down. I have put my top down when it was in the 30s and snowing at Moab, at 6AM knowing it would be quite warm by afternoon on...
Welcome to the family.
I would recommend against nerf bars, because if you ever wheel with them and you hit a rock, they will fold like paper and cause more body damage than if you didn't have anything. Seen it happen.
Of course if you're not going to wheel at all, then it doesn't matter...
Ordered 5/4. Hit KZ today. Pretty excited, which of course means that FCA will dash my hopes with Godzilla crushing the train or something, but still optimistic.
Ordered 5/4
D status 5/24
D1 status 7/1
I status 7/8
JB status 7/9
And as of today. KZ status.
This rig was bottled up in D status for the longest, and now seems to be moving.
Solid front axles and disconnects add so much versatility just by themselves. And the thing no one talks about with Jeeps is how big their wheel wells are. You can put 35s on them with a 2" lift, possibly 37s. A Taco you would need what 4.5" to fit a 35 with travel?
They're both great vehicles...
If they made a lighter 4x4 pickup like the size of the old Ranger with a 4 cyl turbo they'd have something. It would wheel like a mountain goat and have a bed. Like the old Toyota's.
Beating Jeep at Jeep stuff is hard to do. Look at those wheel wells, try and stuff a big tire in them for example.
Payload is often over looked. You add in 35" tires on bigger rims, steel bumpers front and rear, steel sliders, you could easily be adding 400 lbs. of weight, which comes off the payload. This can easily sneak up on you.
Sport S w/ max tow is the ticket for me
One of the reasons I went with the Sport S is because it has a larger payload capacity, roughly 1600 pounds. The tongue weight of a trailer is 10% of the trailer weight as a rule of thumb. You take a family of 4, pile their gear in back of a Rubicon, and it might total 700-800 pounds. That...
Wish you better luck with this one. I don't get why the other dealer wouldn't work with you to correct a mistake on their end.
But that's in the past, Sting gray is a cool color and can't wait to see it.
It's not available for the Sport S with Max Tow because there is a different carrier in the pumpkin with the 4.10 gears. If you look at parts for diffs, there are two groups. Parts for 3.73 gears and below, and parts for gears above 3.73. And then you get into spline count and stuff but at it's...
