I’m curious about this as well. I’ve thought about going the same route, because every time I’ve asked about possible solutions, all I get are solutions for hardtop jeeps.

Reading this again, if the main brake LEDs are coming on dim when the trailers are connected, but go out when disconnected, then you’ve got a back feed issue with the trailer harness/connector.

What color is the truck? Maybe a few photos might help paint the picture? I'd lean all black myself unless something with the truck would help make it pop.

Just put a maintainer on the main battery connections. The aux is connected in at rest, so both will be maintained together.
