This I do not necessarily disagree with however as Renegade said, he did nothing and has no issues. My problem IS the constant replacing of parts to hope the tracking improves when it doesn't. I've already dropped over $350 on adjustable LCAs which did not help. Now they sit on my garage floor...
No clue. I ended up pulling the Teraflex adjustable LCAs off and reinstalled the extended Mopar LCAs which seemed to improve the pull slightly. I Also think the tires might be one issue but usually they have great reviews. I still have not done a rear track bar. Rear axle is only off maybe a...
You're sounds like it happened with you accelerated quickly? Mine and others is at a lower RPM like an engine lugging sound. Yours might be something rattling underneath if it's on a hard acceleration.
So this thread is interesting. Quadratec claims these Alpine upgrades do not really upgrade the Premium system as they are not technically designed for it. However, you two guys said they really do make that big of a difference? I think my Premium system sounds great but always up for upgrades...
I've tried all different types and grades of fuel with no resolve. I guess a $60k truck will just sound like shit until Jeep decides to get their act together
Did you watch the video in the link to my thread I posted? Is it the same sound as mine and can be replicated at low RPMs. Mine is definitely not a rattling shield or other non-drivetrain related issues mentioned here. It is obviously something due to the lugging of the engine into such a low RPM.
It might be cheaper to just buy JSCAN with a license along with the cable and bluetooth adapter to activate them yourself than going to the dealer. Then you can also use JSCAN for other things in the future if need be.
The one downside is if the dealer flashes any updates you will have to add...
I read that, insane they don't care what the end user has to say especially given the price.
Unfortunately, they are the most usable step for my purposes IMO and will likely be the ones I go with. I don't care for how the RSE steps look when they come down, thinner than a landing skid lol.
My thread was linked earlier but not mentioned, is this the same sound you are getting??
This is what I posted on my thread:
I finally captured this noise I've been recently experiencing.
I disconnected my Start/Stop eliminator because I had read messing with ESS can cause engine...
I know there is a firewall grommet on the passenger side you can go through. That's what I used per the Mopar instructions when I installed my AUX switches. Also said to grease the wires which I did and the harness slipped right through after making a small cut.
I've been thinking about purchasing these XLs but for the price and harnesses too short and garbage instructions I am not sure I want to give them my business. For upwards of $2k they should have at least clear pics in the instructions and correct length harnesses if not a little longer to play...
Couldn't agree more. I've been under mine multiple times banging around trying to replicate the sound. I even added foam to the hangers for the shift cables and parking brake cables with no luck. It is definitely an engine stalling sound from the low RPMs directly after shifting gears. If you...
I finally captured this noise I've been recently experiencing.
I disconnected my Start/Stop eliminator because I had read messing with ESS can cause engine lagging/knocking so wanted to rule that out.
This happens when shifting from 2nd to 3rd (automatic) just above 2000RPM, once the shift...
I also just pulled the Teraflex adjustable LCAs on the front and put the extended Mopar ones with no change. The extended Mopar LCAs are 24 1/4" and I had the Teraflex LCAs set to 24 7/16 per their instructions. I have no idea how many degrees that would take out but the pull is still there...
Removed the Fox steering stab, maybe a slight improvement but still pulling right (passenger)
Removed the Teraflex 1.5" level kit, both sides looked fine, they were all installed correctly. No change, still the right pull.
That's what I was trying to avoid. I can't tell you how many times I have loosened the front end to install and remove things and reinstall. Damnit but you're right. Technically all the front control arms should be loosened as well right?
