Got ya. So the depth is really the only selling point along with being cheaper than Mopar. That makes sense I guess if you are planning on using ONLY Mopar tie downs with the channel? If one is making their own tie downs as most seem to do than the depth doesn't really seem to matter. Their...
Am I missing something with this $230 kit? He said in the video it is still a Unitstrut product. I priced everything out and looked at other members setups and it can be done for less than $100 and some work on my part? Is this higher price point just for buying and installing without having to...
Nothing wrong with that track bar. I bought and installed the same one. I'll grab a pic for you where mine is at. I think I got it within 1/8th on either side. I didn't need some monstrosity of a track bar so the Rancho fit my needs but it was substantially heavier than stock.
I think it depends. In my instance all they took was my name. My local dealership is not the one I bought from so I can't imagine they would have much info on my vehicle. I had thought about calling various dealerships to see if they had one in stock but I don't know if the hassle is worth it...
This is awesome to hear the new boxes are such a big improvement. As I mentioned, service guy told me boxes would be in yesterday. I called parts and was told different, can't be ordered until the 26th and now I'm on a waiting list......ugh
Great news! I ran up to my local dealership about a mile away. Spoke to a service manager, new about the TSB and said the steering boxes are on order and should arrive Wednesday. I didn't mention my Mopar lift I installed but he literally stood there staring at the rear shock lol. I am having...
Here's some pics, first one is after the process I mentioned above, all rattle can automotive grade paint and prep supplies, second pic is after cutting and buffing. Third is a full pic showing the overall.
Sorry I do not. If you are are talking about the textured black flares I would:
-wet sand to knock down the texture. Try 1000 grit and work down if it is too fine to knock the highs down
-use a maroon 3M pad to scuff the plastic
-use a good product like Final Wipe to clean/degrease the surface...
I wouldn't do plasti dip, I've done it on other vehicles in the past and it just doesn't hold up here in AZ to the sun. Also, as others have mentioned, buy some correctly matched paint to spray them. I have actually used automotive paint in rattle cans to do fender flares before with a 2 part...
Damn I guess that answers my question. I was trying to rationalize not having my truck in the shop for this since my steering isn't terrible, similar to yous. BUT with that much of an improvement I think I have to!
I love when it hits the breaks coming up on a car turning with plenty of room. I've thought about turning it off but honestly I do think it is a great feature.
I've had that same response in the past with other vehicles when I've walked in with a printed TSB. The look on their faces are priceless. I am going to try and take the nice route and hopefully my local dealership won't give me a hard time with a lift and 37s......
I installed them myself using the included printed instructions without issue. Going through the firewall was not a problem after some grease. Activated them with JSCAN. Sure aftermarket will net more switches but 4 will be plenty for me plus they match the trim and complete the center stack for...
Following the written direction, my pins came out no problem. I have a whole bin of various pin extractors and never needed them. I am sure every rig will be different though.
I was hoping JSCAN would release a start/stop eliminator function. I would be curious how it will work considering the eliminator and Tazer all remain in line with the security gateway unless JSCAN is actually going to write what's needed to the ECU as opposed to simply turning something on or...
I did not have a single issue following the install instructions when I did mine. I had started watching a video but all the pausing was getting annoying, figured I would use the video if I ran into issues but the printed instructions worked for me.
