I've read all the steering threads as well and have seen those comments many times. The beauty of it is, Jeep has acknowledged the steering issue with the TSB so there is an obvious problem. Mine was insanely terrible before I installed my Mopar lift and now it is much better. Still some slight...
Those of you who have your appointments scheduled, did they inspect your rig yet? Anyone lifted with larger wheels? I am really concerned because my steering was trash and got better when I installed my Mopar lift. However, lifted with 37s going on I anticipate a lot of push back.....
I always love when someone gets a formal TSB because it blows the minds of the service department when you read them the repair lol.
As the TSB states, scanning the vehicle to make sure there are no issues with the current system is the first step. It never mentions inspecting the vehicle.
I...
I really like these more than my Iron Cross steps. Can you measure the top of the step to the top of the door sill? I'm curious if they drop any further than the Iron Cross steps. Thanks!
I believe you will get even more drop if you disconnect/unbolt the sway bar. I know for my Mopar lift install everything was either loosened or completely removed. I had not issue installing the springs and they were much longer than stock.
These things are complete bullshit. My dealer did not disclose anything to me throughout my entire purchase. Go into financing and was asked if I wanted the "alarm". I was slightly dumbfounded, alarm? What alarm? The factory Jeep alarm? So I declined because I did not want some garbage third...
Great rig Russler! I just ordered the same wheels with a +1 offset along with 37" Patagonias. I had a question though, did you install hub centric rings since the center bore of these are too large at 78.1 compared to the 71.5 that we have. Thanks!
Thanks ahead of time. I've spent the day (now into the second day) researching, reading, playing with offset calculators and wheel size diagrams but now I need help from those with more Jeep experience than myself.
I am going 37x12.50x17 Milestar Pat MTs for sure. My initial thought was to just...
What is the width on those 37s? Also are those rims the same as the upgraded rubi wheels: 17x7.5 with a 45 offset? I am curious because I have hard the upgraded wheels will rub at full lock with 37s
I just received the Iron Cross steps yesterday. I bought through Amazon but there was a shop here in AZ on the other side of the valley which had them in stock. I purposely spent about $40 more to buy from that seller. Box arrived by UPS undamaged, steps were perfect, all hardware was present...
What steps are those? I did the Iron Cross steps and they don't follow the body lines and are still very high, thinking about sending them back. Do these follow the body at the rear or are they completely straight?
Installed the Iron Cross steps, they are extremely stout. I knew about the rear gap prior to purchasing but I didn't realize the gap was that big......I am trying to figure something out to fill the gap and bedline it to at least cover it a little.
I never saw that tool at my local HF. I ended up buying the $20 giant rivet gun and it's a PITA with plastic rivets, doesn't grip them or snap them off. I will keep it around for other needs but will probably buy the one above as well.
The rivets I bought on Amazon, 50 of them for fairly cheap.
My harness had all 4 leads which stayed in the interior with the additional leads in the engine compartment. I did not test them after the install because my intent was to only use the engine compartment side for aux lighting. I had read multiple times the interior leads were not included if...
I was torn between the Arcus and XRC. Keep in mind, the Arcus is more of a thin metal skin over the winch carrier versus the Smittybilt XRC is no joke heavy as hell and would punch though anything it touches. I went XRC, got it for $499 through 4WP.
Agreed, I usually go bigger engines because the heat here in AZ just destroys performance of 4 cylinders and some 6 cylinder engines. I talked my wife into the hemi in her Grand Cherokee and she loves the power and acceleration. I do agree, if a V8 was an option I would have definitely bought it!
