  1. ReveMoto Buyer Beware!

One of my best friends is an NJ attorney and has taken auto manufacturers to court and won over similar issues. He loves it when people threaten to sue, because like you, that is the sandbox that he lives and plays in every day. You’re absolutely right though… for most people (most people do not...
  2. Is this a good deal (deal attached)

    Winner winner chicken dinner!
  3. Is this a good deal (deal attached)

I picked up a sport with manual trans, LSD, Tow Package, and hard top for $34,895 (sale price; OTD was around $38.5k). I got about 22.5% off of MSRP, which I thought was pretty good. Sounds like you’re doing even better. If I were you I would want to know who is doing the tint and bed liner (so...
  4. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

The JL is not a “full size” or a pickup…. It also has awful turbo lag (at least the ones I’ve driven).
  5. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

Right…. So not a lot of vehicles on the road. Of pickups, according BTS statistics those account for only 7%.
  6. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

At least it beats a strung-out boosted 4cyl in a “full size” pickup. ?‍♂️ I’m sure I’m about to piss someone else off with that comment…
  7. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

How many body on frame, solid front axle, four wheel drive vehicles still exist? (Almost) Everyone else has moved onto IFS, AWD (I realize these vehicles are offered with that as an option), and unibody construction. For the “wrangler” models at least, the base formula is about as pure as it...
  8. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

LOL. Most people look at Jeep the same way they look at Porsches and will not be able to tell a discernible difference. Compare the original Willy and today’s front end to an F150 of the same era to today (or an old blazer or even bronco) and you won’t see a difference at all. Obviously there...
  9. Motor Trend: 11 most reliable brands. Jeep just makes the cut, beating Honda.

While using many of the same parts, the assembly lines/factories are not always shared, but I think the biggest delta would be from the customer base. People buying a Lexus, BMW, or Porsche are spending more money for a premium product and are more likely to complain when experiencing an issue...
  10. Need your feedback, Manual or Auto, Rubicon or Mojave.

There is a fix and parts available on the clutch since at least December when mine was fixed. Many others have reported fixed too. If the truck is brand new it will have a stop sale w/o the fix applied. If used, I would tell them purchase is dependent on them fixing it.
  11. So i got pulled over and thrown the book. apparently i need wide vehicle lights?

I’m assuming the blocked license plate and lights were due to mud? Damn… he really did “throw the book” at you. Probably had his windshield cracked recently by someone flinging rocks with mud in his private vehicle. You may be able to get a lot of those fines reduced/dismissed once fixed by...
  12. Jeep Gladiator 101 - Oil Change on the 3.6L V6 (video)

Right. Understood on that. So you’re saying pull off the filler cap, and then crack the filter to drain with the rest of the oil. That makes sense.
  13. Jeep in Contrast to Other “Car Culture”

The last three vehicles I owned, in descending order, are: 2023 Subaru WRX, 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2015 BMW 535i. Being a member of those forums… what a difference coming to Jeep! Besides the obvious differences of discussing “sporty” vehicles to an off-road orientated pickup, it is refreshing...
  14. Jeep Gladiator 101 - Oil Change on the 3.6L V6 (video)

Out of curiosity, do you not crack the oil filler cap prior to draining? I’ve always been taught that will help oil drain quicker.
  15. Is Jeep tracking my mileage and everything through U-Connect?

I mean I’m with you… but I’m not sure what it buys you to disconnect. Your car’s brain stores all the relevant information with codes and there are certain ones like over-rev that can be very difficult to clear if you’re worried about warranty. On the flip side…. I had a MY23 WRX that was junk...
  16. Weird Steering Question

thank you for the information. It very well could be normal. Traffic was moving today so it was less noticeable, but will try take a video next time I have the opportunity. I have a sport, so definitely nothing fancy. Tires right at 35 psi (I may try airing them down slightly). I had the...
  17. Advice on Minimizing Getting Blown Around by Crosswinds

Other than taking the roof and doors off…. Have you considered replacing it with a Miata?
